Wrong actually, a poll conducted by 'Terror Free Tomorrow' and the 'New America Foundation' prior to the election showed Mahmud Ahmadinejad leading his closest rival by a 2 to 1 margin.

Also you may wish to read the report by Reza Esfandiary and Yusof Bozorgmehr in response to the Chatham House Report claiming 'irregularities.'

There are lot of Iran reports stating that the election wasn't rigged, but they are just trying to cover up what they did. Pointless though because everyone with half a brain knows it was rigged.
