  • this is the shit. i remember when this came out. it still awesome, i love their early stuff. best industrial band ever. i hope they get back together and make more music.

  • Vocal delivery reminds me of Sepultura, but the music is more industrial. Production is not great, but maybe that's kind of the sound they're going for, huh?

  • @neurosisfan the vocal delivery should remind you more of Napalm Death, since that's where Justin Broadrick is from. Anyway, this is 1, very old and 2, J.B. recorded, mixed and mastered this in his home studio, so I'd say it's pretty effin' good considering the circumstances. You should check out their album "Us and Them" -- as a Neurosis fan myself, I can tell you that 'Us and Them' kicks the shit out of 'A Sun That Never Sets,' and I love 'A Sun That Never Sets'

  • All I have to say about Godflesh it this:

THERE HAS TO BE SOMEBODY TO KILL, THERE HAS TO BE SOMEBODY TO KILL,

THERE HAS TO BE SOMEBODY TO KILL!!!

  • I remember reading about them in Guitar World back in 92 and afterwards I bought it a fleamarket on cassette. I wonder how many bands it influenced when it came out. Great album Industrial and pre NuMetal.

  • Saw Godflesh live on my 21st birthday in 1994, they were awesome

  • Is Bill Steer still on guitar, its been so long since I heard this, wonder if they're still around. Steer was doing Carcass at the same time. When this came around.

  • Huge Godflesh fan. Saw them open for Skinny Puppy at the Paladium. Most of that crowd did not know who they were. FYI Godflesh was the very first band to be deported on the new Visa laws back when bands had to get a Working visa vs a tourist Visa.

  • WHY WERE THEY DEPORTED???????

  • Bands used to come over to the US on tourist visa's but they were here working/touring. The law changed and imigration started to inforce it. they were the first band to get poped for it when they arrived in NY.

  • #5 is here too

  • Ever hear The Curse of the Golden Vampire? Justin Broderick is a beast!

  • All right there you are, it's good to hear from you!!!

  • fan number 4 here.

  • NO! make that two....I love Godflesh. Been listening to them since the "pure" album came out. Heard them play once too, Most wicked they were...

  • I just found this. I know thier has to be more out there.

  • No comments..well fuck me..I guess there isn't any godflesh fans left, well one!
