  • Such a beautiful ship! I did manage to save one of the life jackets, and the original Danish flag from the bridge, before she was scrapped in Alang.

  • @Creanda How did you get a flag from the bridge, when and do you know how I could find a flag from the SS Norway? There is one particular flag I have been wanting to get from the Norway.....the United Nations flag which would have been left on the bridge with all the other flags. I hope to hear from you soon!

  • @VMAdventures Oh, I'm afraid that you are way too late out on that. During the stripping of her fittings for the upcoming sale, one can be lucky to save some items like that. But now, they are most likely left somewhere in a scrappers pile in a junk yard.

  • Sailed on her 4 times in the 1990's - I get chills just seeing pictures of her. Greatest ship E-V-E-R

  • What a BEAUTIFUL ship.

  • WOW! Thanks so much for posting this memorable footage from my favorite cruise ship, the incomparable S/S Norway! I was a travel agent for 18 years and got to sail on her 9 times. There will never be another ship with the charm and class of the Great Blue Lady. R.I.P.

  • Incredible stuff, thanks for posting.

  • thanks for the wonderful video.

  • She belongs to the ages, and a few lucky collectors. I never liked what they did to the upper decks, but I'm an idealist. If they had upgraded her other four boilers to QE2 standards, she'd have lived longer. I believe NCL wanted to be rid of her before the explosion.
