  • This video made me sexually happy.

  • Definitely watched this before the starwars vhs tapes I had in my house including all the original aired commercials from the same time period. Good days.

  • Time to get out my old Star Wars tapes :)

  • This was shown on the muppets take manhattan.

  • The Abyss, Alien, Aliens and the Cocoon.

  • When I see and hear this wonderful and EPIC logo and music, it reminds me of our old VHS of the musical Scrooge... :') *<3* As well as the original Star Wars trilogy.

  • The Last Dragon, 1985. That's when I saw the logo. I still love the fanfare music. So catchy.

  • I've been looking for this track for YEARS. It's a fucking nostalgia bomb.

  • Frankly i rather have an orange 0:03

  • @tyler60396 Hahahah!

  • @tyler60396 I'm not quite sure I understand that haha but I have a guess. :) Are you referencing the line said by tiny tim in the movie Scrooge(one of the VHS's that had this CBS/Fox intro at the start)? I'm probably way off haha but that's what it reminded me of. =P Peace.

  • this was first seen on vhs copies of "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi" and "S Club 7 in Miami: Vol. 1" (the CBS/Fox Video logo follows after some 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment logo fades to black, followed by the BBC logo).

  • The music is called "National Trust", composed by Keith Mansfield. It was recorded in 1978 for the Bruton Music Library of London England and found on their LP volume BRN 1 "Heritage". This is the fanfare only, the full theme runs 1:58. CBS/Fox Video used that 17 second fanfare under paid license to the Bruton Music Library.

  • Wallace and Gromit FTW!

  • This was on the first VHS release of the original Star Wars trilogy, YEAH!!!!

  • Wasn't this logo on "Commando"?

  • @firestarter199515 Yes it was.

  • Reminds me of the Rocky movies. I used to see my grandmother every other weekend, and she would always rent Rocky 2, 3, and 4 for me because I loved them so much. I think I've seen those movies 10,000 times each, and I still love them. Partly because they're great movies, but also because they remind me of my grandparents. Thanks for posting this...brings back a lot of good memories from my childhood.

  • this is on the Best Of America's Funniest Home Videos 1990 VHS

  • I found on The Living Daylights VHS

  • this logo, the 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment logo and the BBC logo are taken from Vol. 1 of S Club 7 In Miami On VHS.

  • This video just cured my cancer

  • from star wars laserdisk or is that a different one? i dunno

    HFL

  • Is this available in HD? =)

  • CBS/FOX Video is still here! They just changed their name over time-twice!!! They are now known as 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

  • I Got That On The Boy Who Could Fly VHS.

  • I Am having a hard time finding this

  • i see where Justice's DVNO music video came from

  • hahaha, I just had an intro to film class today and this came up, the first time i saw it was when the red wings won the cup in '97 and this was the intro on the vid

  • Wow, I haven't seen this intro clip in YEARS. I was reminded by it when my mom and I rented a vacation home, and it had a VHS with star wars in it. I played it, and it seemed like this was in the back of my brain.

  • I have this on my brother's old VHS copy of "The Albert Achievement Awards." It's followed by the NBC Sports logo. The tape is from sometime between 1991 and 1993.

  • i am fan of this

  • very epic i love watching this and the BBC logo before watching Wallace and Gromit

  • @crazyfunny23 yes I agree and I really love this logo too I first remember seeing this in my Aliens VHS and those were good times! Very excellent and a classic logo!

  • I remember these being at the front of Star Wars and Rocky movies back in the 80s.

  • oh yes the good old days. remember seeing Commando on VHS with this opening.

  • I remember this logo from when I was a kid back in the 80's, boy it brings back memories, my favourite video logos from the 80's were channel 5 video, c.b.s fox video, c.i.c video, entertainment in video and guild home video, I think it's a shame these logos are not around anymore cos they were the best, I say bring em back as dvd logos, cos modern day logos are shit.

  • I think this logo's music is public domain, because an episode of the 60's Spiderman used it (the ep we got "Frankly, I'D rather have" from).

  • This still kinda freaks me out....it always reminds me of "The Fly" when I watched it as a kid. Thanks, mom and dad!

  • I used to be obsessed w/ the fanfare while growin' up. I don't know why.

  • @HarryPotter87

    Me too.

  • my god its been ages!!! I miss VHS!

  • I have Wallace and Gromit tapes with this at the beginning. Good times.

  • I love the sound on this logo. It's kinda catchy!

  • Revenge of the Nerds VHS was released by CBS/Fox.

  • i wish cbs/fox video was still around

  • @bubbaali021 Me too. This logo is just too awesome.

  • This music just confirms that whatever follows this logo is both prestigious AND excellent!

  • this was on "Snoopy Come Home" ...which I thought was the 70s? it was the same music but different looking graphics

  • Also on the 1987 VHS of "Star Wars".

  • it's on bbc video tapes

  • This was one of the long-lasting logos from 1984, until 1998(in which throughout most of the 1990's, specifically from 1991 until 1998), the company's releases would alternate with Fox Video releases, meaning that THIS logo would be seen, mostly after Fox Video's logo, which CBS/Fox Video had re-named it's company into, though it continued to release VHS releases also with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment finally until 1998.

  • I like hearing this in Dolby Surround off HiFi VHS Stereo releases! Sounds big.

  • Taken from the 1989 VHS of "Die Hard", the 1996 VHS of "War and Peace", "Wallace and Gromit: A Grand Day Out", "Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers" and the 1995 VHS of "Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave".

  • haha last night at like 11:00 i blindly clicked this and the entire room was dark and i had to turn the light on because it scared me

  • i think this logo is harmless

  • Why do logos have to be so terrifying? To me that thing used to be the stuff of nightmares.

  • I had this for The Hidden

  • it was in the adventures of ford fontaine

  • I had this logo on a Mr. Men tape

  • i seen this on the star wars trilogy

  • Crawfords 7800

  • Enter The Dragon. Michael Jordan's Come Fly With ME! LOL! so many memories!

  • You're wrong about Enter the Dragon - Warner Bros. put that timeless classic out. Now, Bruce Lee's other movies did have this, as did original releases of the Star Wars trilogy. I also have a copy of Michael Jordan's Playground, which if I'm not mistaken also has this logo.

  • I think it was our old Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back that had this.

  • It was also on the entire original Star Wars Trilogy.

  • I think our other older Star Wars may have this, but I mainly remember #5.

  • #5 was a different version of the logo, I remember seeing it on a RCA Selectavision video disc.

  • I think it was a different version of this logo (wasn't it more complex?).

  • I had this on my old vhs copy of The Abyss.

  • 4178

  • this music shows up on the 1984 dealer tape of "robin hood"

  • Ahhh, memories. I have this logo on my old Star Wars VHS's.

  • i have this on my vhs of "Moving violations"

  • Taken from "Pinocchio", as posted by Videoloverfan2008.

  • Wrong, Pinocchio was owned by Disney so there is NO CBS/FOX Video version of Pinocchio so stop giving false information please.

  • I love this logo. I had it on some MR men tapes.

  • I had this on a Mr Men video as a kid, the music scared me a bit as a kid.

  • I remember seeing this classic indent when my dad rented "Alien" when I was 8 years old back in 1988.

  • I saw that logo on some of the garfield old VHS tapes and the ole Star Wars tapes.

  • Bet this is on "Little Big Man".

  • Have this on an old videotape of the classic documentary "Visions of Light: The Art of Cinematography".

  • From "Dr. Seuss On The Loose"?

  • no dr. seuss on the loose had the 1993-1995 fox video logo.

  • old NFL Films videos!

  • Star Wars!!

  • I remember seeing this logo in those Garfield VHS tapes and also on the 1980s VHS release of the Pink Panther movies (The Return of the Pink Panther was also in the package, making CBS/Fox's release the only time ALL the films, including Return, were released together).

  • There was a voice over once that said "Coming from Eddie Hawkins Entertainment!".

  • Great logo! This was made in '84?!?

  • i remember this at my school when i was watching an old video!

  • sigh I remember that

  • I remember this most clearly from Short Circuit.

  • I have this for Yoram Gross' "Sarah and the Squirrel" - a very depressing Holocaust-themed animated movie starring Mia Farrow.

  • TOO COOL

  • Taken from Wallace & Gromit and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

  • I have this on my VHS of the "Muppet Movie."

  • They should use that for a telethon!

  • I got this on the "Muppets Take Manhattan" VHS.

  • One of my faves! So majestic sounding!

  • Your sarcasm detector obviously requires some-fine tuning.

  • That's some smoooooth CGI.

  • I have the'special widescreen presentation' version of this on my Star Wars tape. Can someone upload it?

  • This was on my Wallace and Gromit Tapes when I was 2.

  • I had this on The Sound of Music and I have this on South Pacific & Return of the Dragon

  • I have this on A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave and Peggy Sue Got Married (which broke).

  • I got this on the abyss.

  • I Like this logo, It's fun!

  • This Was Taken From Big 1988.

  • "Muppets Take Manhattan" VHS have this logo from 1984.

  • On the Wallace and Gromit VHS set, here's the order of the logos.

    1. Fox Video (or on A Close Shave, 20th Century Fox Home Entermatent)

    2. CBS/FOX Video

    3. BBC Video warning screens

    4. BBC Video logo

  • "A Close Shave" was my favorite W&G short. My cousin's had a video of the short with those logos.

  • Really, you do, sega3dmm? I love that short too!

  • Gone Kiddy Previews (4th Release)

    1. Paramount logo (printed with Viacom byline)

    2. 1989 FP logo

    3. Warning Screen

    4. CBS/Fox Video logo 1994

    5. THX Broadway Trailer

    6. Green Format Screen

  • These are fake.

  • "Gone Kiddy" is very fake itself.

  • this was also used on the bruce lee vhs boxset back in the mid 80's. i think it was also used in the laserdisc sets too. excellent quality btw.

  • I Saw This On Volume 1 Of S Club 7 In Miami.

  • I also remember it's the When Worlds Collide (THX) Video.

  • When Worlds Collide is owned by Paramount so there is no CBS/FOX video version.

  • I remember this from ABC Sports' 1987 World Series video release. I love the music.

  • I remember this most from when I watched BBC Britcom videos, as well as Doctor Who videos when I got into that as well. It was such a shame that CBS/FOX ended and Warner Home Video started distributing BBC video in the US... their logo is BORING!

  • I believe this logo was also on some old Garfield videos.

  • When I was a kid, anything from Rogers and Hammerstein started with this. Awesome logo.

  • What was the music for the CBS/Fox video logo?

  • That was a cool logo. Too bad CBS-Fox video doesn't exist anymore.

  • Does anyone ever think that the when the logo appears befor turing into the CBS/FOX logo, the edges resemble the Death Star trench?

  • It does. Coincidently, this logo was on the original VHS releases of the Star Wars trilogy.

  • I have alot of memiors of seeing that cbs fox opening all the time on the old Farie tale theater Tapes I watched as a kid remindes of those

  • better than the Fox logo.

  • i remember 2 other versions of this logo

  • In 1996, when I watched the My Fair Lady video, I have not seen this logo but the CBS Video logo with the CBS Eye which has in the CBS Enterprises byline in 1997-98. Can you upload the 1996-1998 CBS Video logo and not the CBS/FOX Video, please if you see it? Thanks.

  • Brings back some pre dvd meomories

  • The only place I remember seeing this is Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella starring Lesley Ann Warren.

  • I also remember it from a Dr. Seuss video.

  • I believe there was another CBS FOX video logo back from the late 1970s---I forgot what it looked like though...

  • Thank You for this logo. I remember playing with my father's tape with ths logo in 1994

  • Thank you for uploading this logo! I've wanted to view this one for long and is that logo that i talked about during my comment on the MGM/CBS Home Video logo.
