We usualy train during winter only, as we get plenty of time in the water during summer.When we do train it's usualy only once a week.Have had a little bit of training but nothing serious. We get a lot of info. through our club and talking with experianced divers.
how long do most spearfishers hold their breath for i've seen a girl go like 60 feet under water and hunt some crpa n come bak up 10 kminutes later... whats the average time these people can hold their breath
A hard question to answer due to number of reasons. Experiance, training, fitnes and also the individual. I avarage 1.20min/1.40min while diving 10/15m depths.I know people that can do twice the depth and twice as long.I also know people that struggle to go over 1 min.

I know I should but having someone to swim with gets you to the pool LOL. I'll have to make sure I don't get caught in my PJ's :). Hey is your pool salt water? If it isn't heads up the Chloro will kill your gear!
Man if you are keen you can do almost anything.Go easy at the start and have someone with you all the time.(we always train with mun 2 divers) Fitness helps but i recon it's all about breath and mind control.Good onya!
im 5'6 tall 217 pounds i already started spearfishing with my local fisherman friend we are afraid of sharks...by the way ithink im fit bec im a trainee boxer i train 3 times a week....all our concerns is sharks
Most sharks are just qurious and just have a quick look or pass by before leaving .Show no fear, dive in pairs(min.) and if they start looking sus or coming up of the bottom for a closer look then slowly leave the water or change spots.You will get useto it.

Lumix fs7 still cam. I use Corel VideoStudio 12 for all my clips.

Ahh I'm not surprised then. I asked because many of the 'underwater' videos I've watched suffered from bad camera shake and/or poor image quality.
I can see the results when a decent camera is used in an enclosure as apposed to a poor camera that is conveniently water-proof.
I use the Panasonic ZS3, really unmatched in stabilization, and excellent video mode!
Although I may consider the TZ1or2 because it has all of this built in WITH the convenience of waterproofing.

Just go down to your local pool with your gear. You will be suprised how many spearos acctually train few times a week.
It's good fun and great practice.

Normal chloro pool.I only use my training gear anyway.Fins and mask ged washed when i get home.
