do they usually perform acoustically as a 3 piece? on the live in london I can hear Dan and Matt for sure because of their vocals but not sure about Derek, I know he has played acoustic guitar with them, and sings backup vocals, but just wondering, not sure.
He changes that lyric depending on where they are at. I've seen them in Reno, Vegas, and Salt Lake and he's changed it accordingly. Lyrically it doesn't make sense, but people like it!

How great are the songs I Lied My Face Off, My Friend Peter, Rooftops, Another Innocent Girl, Keep 'em Coming, and Standard Break From life. in my mind nothing compares to those.

alkaline trio can be emo, but its cool emo, not like faggy bands like afi. but sometimes its a little weird when they talk about stapling the top of there mouth, our taking to nails and a hammer to there ears. but there still the greatest band i know. and there beastly
the fact that they talk about death so effectively, like "blowtorch to both of my lungs", is what makes them unique. other bands try but don't quite pull it off like alk3 do.
i agree they are very unique. they don't express their feelings the same boring way other bands do, they put a special touch on the words they choose...metaphorically using death and violence to describe emotions, for example mercy me is brilliant it doesn't just straight up say i'm driving you crazy, it's so brillaint i don't think most people understand just how brilliant their songs are

theres an easy way to tell, the bass player dan is bald, matt skiba the singer here is balding and the drummer derek have hair

i saw em in melbourne last year there were a bunch of scene kids there but that doesnt change the fact that theyre good
and afi used to be good before they decided to sell out which was a faggy thing to do but they did used to be very good

alkaline trio can be emo, but its cool emo, not like faggy bands like afi. but sometimes its a little weird when they talk about stapling the top of there mouth, our taking to nails and a hammer to there ears. but there still the greatest band i know. and there beastly

the fact that they talk about death so effectively, like "blowtorch to both of my lungs", is what makes them unique. other bands try but don't quite pull it off like alk3 do.

i agree they are very unique. they don't express their feelings the same boring way other bands do, they put a special touch on the words they choose...metaphorically using death and violence to describe emotions, for example mercy me is brilliant it doesn't just straight up say i'm driving you crazy, it's so brillaint i don't think most people understand just how brilliant their songs are

You guys dont care about alkaline trio like the rest of the fans..call them what you want alkaline trio are amazing! old and new whatever they do is great i havent heard one song that aint great, so stop saying there "emo", beside its just like what new metal was when iwas growing up, alkaline trio fans respect there choices whatever they do where there old or new fans!
