  • Best horse i've ever seen was The Whole Nine Yards the first sat night. Bobo knew he had it in the bag and didn't push his horse the last night.

  • I like Cash for Keeps; he has alot of motion, fluidity, and swing. Didn't he beat Puttin on the Ritz once too? And he is more natural, he was great lite-shod as well.

  • @GhodiGirl Thanks! Keeps is such a sweetie. And yeah, he was the only horse to ever beat Ritz!

  • I didn't like A Whole Nine Yards, he looks like a cross between a Thelwell Pony and a pig. I didn't like RPM, my lite-shod horse has a better headshake than him.

  • Thanks TheTWH, for showcasing these fine animals. I have one question though: why did you show so little of A Whole Nine Yards? From what I do see of him I don't like, I didn't like his father either and I didn't think he deserved to win in 1994.

  • calm and easy going, very intelligent temperments. they are easy keepers for the most part , i have seen one that was very hard to keep fat. the pads are supposed to add weight and angle to accentuate the horses natural gait. most of them do not have pads since they are used for certain classes of shows. you can show them in flat shod clases without the pads on them. TWh are usually excelant with new riders and babysit them. there is no better breed for trail riding.

  • OK lets say I have pretty much spent my life on quarter horses and know next to nothing of tennessee walking horses other than they are supposed to have smooth ride.

In generale what is their temperment?

    easy keepers?

what is the idea behind the clogs? on their front feet?

looking for the ideal horse for a new friend who has maybe 10 lessons behind her and managed to get a very high spirited green broke QH way out of her ability. thought a TWH might be good for her on trail rides.

  • @123456789mischief Well..Tennessee walking horses range from all different temperaments like mine for example, hes hyper, but my friends twh is very very calm. if your going to look for a walker your might wanna look for the calm ones, specially if you have a friend who only had 10 lessons. The clogs are called a variety of things but i don't recommend it if your going to get a walker UNLESS your going to do big time showing otherwise the horse would be in the stall all the time and not let out.

  • @123456789mischief sorry second comment on explaining it ;) personally, I would stick with a Quarter horse, because of how nice and calm they are (not saying that they can be hyper or whatnot) usually QH are used for shows and TWH are used for trails, so it really doesn't matter even if you get a QH and trail it doesn't matter. But really all your going to look for is your friend's ability. But don't get fooled saying gaited horses can't do as much as a non-gaited horse, because that isn't true.

  • Look at MAIN POWER!!

  • i thought parole had a black stocking n the back!

  • OOPs was great, but I don't think any can touch RPM!!

  • Out on Parole rocked it!
