The song is pretty good, but I really don't understand what he's trying to say. I mean, some of his sentences really don't make a whole lot of sense.

I've had the cd forever but it doesn't have any lyrics in the booklet.I've been obsessed with this song since I first heard it when I was searching for Portishead(like everyone else)and need to know what he's actually saying. Just a small correction: The artist is Alpha, the song is Firefly and this one is a remix made by Receiver. The original song is on the album Pepper, dunno where the remix is coming from, but I'd go so far as to say it's much better, even though the original is already an awesomely chill song.

But the original version is from the LP Come From Heaven. The remixed version here is from the remix EP Pepper. For me, this is the definitive version of this song. LOVE it....
