Paul mccarteny died in 1966 he got beheaded by a lawnmower, there are clues about this in Goodday sunshine, "burns my feet as they touch the ground", is one example cause apparently some gasoline from the lawnmower escaped onto McCartneys feet and John Lennon flicked a cigarette by accident and his feet went up in a huge blaze
I was never crazy about this song but of all the '09 remasters, this one turned out to be my favorite. I can honestly say that I had gone through life not realizing that many of the effects in this song were vocal. Thank you, George Martin and Co, for literally introducing us The Beatles all over again!
@kenfig No, I'm sorry but the stereo version of this track beats the mono mix hands down! As far as I'm concerned this song probably had the most disappointing mono mix on "Sgt. Pepper." I don't understand why all the end breathing and moaning was buried in the mono mix and it's right up front in the stereo. I mean it seems like a pretty important part of the song so why would you bury it?
@kenfig By 1967, stereo was definitely the preferred choice by both artist and consumer as well as becoming mainstream, thus making mono pretty much redundant and for those who did not want to spend extra for stereo. This album especially was definitely recorded with stereo in mind.
This is definately Billy Shears here
