Jade is amazing this way: she sings covers of other ppl's songs, and she does it better than the original singers; other people sing her songs as a cover, like 手下敗將, and nobody does it better!
@tonycheung1986 Aside from that, real musicians can do different types of music but with his/her own style. She comes from Canada (like me), which allows her to be exposed to music more than in HK. Of course, music is a talent, not so much ability. I'm not saying that Mag is bad, but she has never been trained musically and professionally in music. The more training one has, the better the performer knows what sounds good and can spot mistakes much faster!

@tonycheung1986 Couldn't agree more. Actually, there are certain styles I don't support as well, like rap and hip hop. Those styles in Cantonese AND the singer not having a close attitude to such styles killed me, like William Chan. Once in a while he puts out a nice dance song, then garbage like his last cd.
There are many styles she can try, but again, HK people in general can't grow out of their comfort zones. But I am proud of canto-pop, and HK ppl should too. But just be more accepting.

@tonycheung1986 Actually I think because Joey belongs to EEG, a company which we know does what the best. It has endless amount of budget if the important ppl think is necessary to invest on that singer. Jade won by actual singing. They are both good and hard working female, but in terms of range Jade has it bigger. I am shocked by her singing in this concert because she is doing it in the mastery stage - least mouth movement and breathing but with the most energy and projection!
@alienvisiting And another side note, we should dissect musical ability with musical talent, not just because who has more fans. In other words, people should be more objective in general. Even IF Jade can beat Joey in singing somehow, fans should still be supportive. It's all about the music, not who is more 'hit'.
@tonycheung1986 I am about to migrate to HK and I'm worried I can accept the HK culture nowadays. Most regular HK people are way too shallow, and they don't think outside the box. There is nothing wrong with K pop and Cantonese - in fact the best combo to be proud of. They should stop imitating others and take pride of what they are best at. A lot of white 'singers' cannot sing, they're purely made as icons/idols like Britney Spears. I don't know why people compare the two J's!

@alienvisiting 那我起初都會覺得阿Mag都不錯吧，阿Mag都有一排翻唱手下敗將同負擔不起，效果都幾好嫁!!! 我果陣時都諗緊可能阿Jade既歌會日後由阿Mag接手。但係，聽完呢一個part之後，就覺得無論阿Mag唱得點，就算係好過Jade，都永遠唱唔到阿Jade既感覺。因為呢堆歌係為阿Jade度身訂造，係阿Jade既真人真事。
