Everyone uses whatever they have to put across their point. Whether you like her or not, she just used what she had, to tell people what she thought. I think she was pretty brave, what if her audience had been a crowd of you? she'd still have made her point but would probably have been booed off
Here again i disagree. Many hollywood stars do not use there stardom as a platform to showcase their own beleifs. I understand if she were a politician or an activist etc...but she is not people. She is an actress/singer. I really get irate at hollywood throwing their beleifs on us. I can cite many hollywood stars that chose to separate their careers from politics. The same holds true for the separation between church and state.
Did you really just get mad at an American for voicing their opinion? I think that standing up for what you believe in is sort of reinforcing what America stands for, not insulting it.

The truth is she is an actress/singer. I dont care if your are Mick Jagger you have no right to use your stardom to create some sort celebrity cult. Thats why I cannot stand hollywood. Its as if their word is greater than yours or mine because they are famous.Because Zooey says it is so doesnt always make it right.

Zooey just realizes that as a celebrity she has the power to make a difference and she's using it, instead of just sitting back and spending money like most of Hollywood. Well, I'm sorry free speech upsets you, but you have to learn to live with it. If you want to express an opposing view, feel free to do so, but you can't prevent others from doing the same. The people at that concert were not being held against their will; they could leave at any time, so I really don't see what the problem is.
So if you have an opinion you HAVE to become a political activist? This is what she wants to do with her life. She should still be able to openly voice her opinions, and using her platform to do that is not wrong.
