  • excellent!!!!!!!! made a few for my engines this week.

  • Great video! I ended up with the .030 teflon sheet (as the .025 wasn't available) and it worked great for both my Jensen 25 and Jensen 65 engines. LIGHT YEARS better than the factory supplied ones!

  • nice 1 guy,teaching is good.

    thom in scotland.

  • Very good information and technique. Thank you for your vids.I believe you are responsible for my Jensen habit I now have.Ever thought of hand modeling? Just kidding ya!

  • Lots of good information as usual, and I'll be waiting for the next one in the workshop series. Keep up the good work!

  • great vid...

  • The Jensen gaskets are the worst. They appear to be punched out of recycled paper file folders. I have been making my gaskets with a punch and hammer, too, except that I use heat resistant rubberized gasket sheeting from Kragen Automotive. Very clever sight glass gasket making, on your part. I have been using thin, sight glass sized, rubber o-rings behind the glass and the junk Jensen gaskets between the glass and the lock nut. Is that teflon sheeting available at hardware stores? Thanks.

  • I tried some of the rubberized paper originally, but found that it stuck to the boiler (if used under the SV and such). IndianaRog put me on to the teflon originally, and I've never looked back. It's firm, but pliant and does the job.

Everyone I know gets it on ebay from the store of materialmaster5. It's pretty reasonable, and I use every last scrap of the sheet that I can, so it goes a long way.
