jen, u really inspire me....there is something very pure and clean about you....u r very eloquent and when i see ur videos, i feel how important it is to keep oneself beautiful....YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION FOR ME....love u!!
Can you do a video on how to set eyeliner so it won't smudge? It always smudges on the outside of my lower lash line and I feel like I've tried everything! Help!
could you please do a video on np set (Napoleon Perdis), cause i am really interested in it. But i don't want to buy it and not like it. (only if you have some of his products). Thankyou. :)
Gr8 video. Wow & I thought I had lots of brushes. Good 4 U. I have been using Dr. Bonner's Castile soap to deep clean my brushes & Mac's brush cleaner to spot clean using a paper towel. I'm gonna have to try that jar thing next. I have the dry & shape & love that as well. Thanks for the tips. So far the best video about brush cleaning I've seen so far.
This is a great video. Amazingly helpful and thorough. I love how when you speak it's clear, precise and informative. Very impressed with your videos. Keep them coming!
hey, it's a very detailed tutorial! love it so much! But it seems like i can't hear the product that you mention in the honey bear jug, can anyone told me what is that?
A lot of my brushes are duo brushes with bristles on both sides. How would you dry those so that you wouldn't hurt the glue holding the bristles in the brushes? :)
I purchased the Sigma brushes and have 2 that I use for foundation. As you mentioned elsewhere, the synthetic brushes take longer to dry. So I use one, wash it as soon as I use it (with the soap/oil that you and Michelle Phan recommend) and put it in the Brush Guard to dry. Brush Guards are now available at Walmart! I just keep a small container of dishwashing liquid, oil, and a tiny little bowl and wash all my brushes right after I use them.
i can see two cute little ninjas hanging of your cupboard ^_^ lol, thanks for the awesome brush cleaning vid, good timing seeing as i have just bought a brush kit from sigma and this video will make sure i will keep my brushes nice and clean :)
suggest you make sure the dish soap is antibacterial rather than tough on grease to ensure you get a better cleaning of your brushes... considering you won't dip your brushes in oil... tough on grease isn't as important as antibacterial
Yes, very informative - thank you! Oh, and thank you for braving comments for showing your numerous brushes. You are truly a nice person - it shows on camera.

the olive oil + dishwashing soap method seems to be first posted by michellephan... unless you don't watch her videos, shouldn't you credit her for it or something? not a hater by the way :)
@Danimegatoon have you tried baby shampoo? :) heard its great for cleaning makeup brushes coz its strong enough the get rid of the products, but not so strong that its damaging :) gotta be gentle on babies' soft hairs!
i tried the deep clean that I used the wash dish and olive oil but the brushes are so oily and hard to get the normal hair brushes.. so how to be not so oily?
i love this video :3 thanks for showing this~ and i would like to ask what else products you think is really good to wash ours brush ? i mean can easy find in drug store to buy . thanks ~
I typically use Brush Guards and then just sit them in a cup to let them dry. The guards keep my bristles in shape while still allowing air to flow through them. Plus they're pretty cheap. Or since I get most of my brushes from Sephora I'll use the plastic piece/guard that comes with them, although it takes longer for them to dry that way.
