  • 6:28 ninjas!

  • HOLLY SHIT...its like you robbed a craft store

  • Jen,

I purchased the Sigma brushes and have 2 that I use for foundation. As you mentioned elsewhere, the synthetic brushes take longer to dry. So I use one, wash it as soon as I use it (with the soap/oil that you and Michelle Phan recommend) and put it in the Brush Guard to dry. Brush Guards are now available at Walmart! I just keep a small container of dishwashing liquid, oil, and a tiny little bowl and wash all my brushes right after I use them.

  • Can you use baby oil instead?

  • where can i get that parian spirit?

  • @nynafrank I'm pretty sure you can get it at Ulta

  • Very useful and informative video, thanks!!! Gosh you have an amazing amount of brushes, it's crazy! Must take a whole day to wash it all haha.

  • Oh Jen, I tried baby shampoo, it worked wonderful, thanks for ur information :X:X:X:X

  • Wohhhh............ that's such a small collection! hahaha

  • I love the Grush Guards.

  • @AbbieJolie Oh no! Brush Guards!

Ladies, I'm sure the collection grew over a period of years, as she added new brands of brushes and styles of brushes.

  • Are you a brush hoarder?

  • thank you so much

I had a problem of the brush cleaning as well since the product to clean the brushes are unavailable here >_<

  • i can see two cute little ninjas hanging of your cupboard ^_^ lol, thanks for the awesome brush cleaning vid, good timing seeing as i have just bought a brush kit from sigma and this video will make sure i will keep my brushes nice and clean :)

  • suggest you make sure the dish soap is antibacterial rather than tough on grease to ensure you get a better cleaning of your brushes... considering you won't dip your brushes in oil... tough on grease isn't as important as antibacterial

  • Yes, very informative - thank you! Oh, and thank you for braving comments for showing your numerous brushes. You are truly a nice person - it shows on camera.

  • yay...u're awesome! thanks.

  • @XErnieX lol wow you soubd so immature! So you want ever guru to come up with a new way of washing brushes? How many gurus are out there? There's bound to be similarities

  • @XErnieX So what, Michelle didnt Invent brush cleaning, Jen showed you different ways to clean a brush but Michelle only showed one it Dosnt matter all gurus can make videos same there is no rule if one guru has made a video then it would be illeagal for another one to do a same video, someone could of done it before Michelle but I don't see u bugging Michelle for that.

  • Thank you that helped a lot

  • Great video as usual Jen!

  • Where can you find parian spirit?

  • And she is just showing us how she clean her brushes!

  • @justwannabereal that method wasnt michellephan's idea! She learned it from art class! So Jane could have learned it from class too!

  • the olive oil + dishwashing soap method seems to be first posted by michellephan... unless you don't watch her videos, shouldn't you credit her for it or something? not a hater by the way :)

  • i just wash my brushes with soap :) lol

  • I've used baby shampoo and it's worked pretty well.. also gentle so if some of it is still on the brush and it gets in your eyes it doesn't sting!

  • Just curious but do the wet wipes hurt your eyes when you put the brush on your eyes?

  • Could you please do a tutorial on how you use the Stila Hair Refresher? Please??

  • Baby powder is good for dry clean.

  • what camera do u use?????

  • I did that and now they are sooo oily, I washed them several times and the oil doesn't come of!!! What do I do everyone??? please help meee!!!

  • @Danimegatoon have you tried baby shampoo? :) heard its great for cleaning makeup brushes coz its strong enough the get rid of the products, but not so strong that its damaging :) gotta be gentle on babies' soft hairs!

  • i tried the deep clean that I used the wash dish and olive oil but the brushes are so oily and hard to get the normal hair brushes.. so how to be not so oily?

  • @Reginagein just use baby shampoo :)

  • i love this video :3 thanks for showing this~ and i would like to ask what else products you think is really good to wash ours brush ? i mean can easy find in drug store to buy . thanks ~

  • I really loved this video. Washing brushes is something that isn't my favorite thing to do, but now I have 2 more ways to do it. Thanks!

  • that worked so well!!!(: thank you!

  • I typically use Brush Guards and then just sit them in a cup to let them dry. The guards keep my bristles in shape while still allowing air to flow through them. Plus they're pretty cheap. Or since I get most of my brushes from Sephora I'll use the plastic piece/guard that comes with them, although it takes longer for them to dry that way.
