here in germany everybody hates him. personally i think he's funny and very clever.

there are other interviews on youtube from the 90s (youtube.com/watch?v=PueITSLaw­R4 3:45 and youtube.com/watch?v=RlXx1HTgVi­o 3:20) , when was asked about saddam hussein he smiles and says something like "he understands force and in my view uses it as far as he can" and he is "an intelligent man". actually this means saddam must have been really stupid ;-)

Thanks for the comment! I enjoyed having Rumsfeld as Defense Secretary, and miss Tim Russert. No matter what your political views are, Rumsfeld had a certain view of the world and expressed it without reservation. He never came off like a typical politician or cabinet member...in a way, he was a refreshing, colorful character.

Well the funny thing about these clips is that they represent how Rumsfeld actually is. Unlike the admittedly hilarious EDITED clips on YouTube, these are 100% real. At least he is not your typical sleazy, phony politician. In a way, I actually like him.
