I am a avid fan of BF 2142 and, for the longest time I've said: "It would be sooo cool if they made a Star Wars version of BF 2142. Kind of like a uber version of SW Battlefront 2."

This is a common problem with a simple solution- just go to the advanced settings and uncheck all the filters except for same mod.

make sure your 2142 is working online and that you have downloaded the latest FS client (which will then autoupdate) If you are still not good to go, something is wrong so post on the forums.

@kawless Rebels get simple frag grenades, imperials get advanced White tubes - thermal detonators that match their aesthetic and which are actually carried on their armour. Both have same ingame effect.

The only place the shpherical thermal detonator from ROTJ actually makes an appearance is on the bounty hunter easter egg kit.

Bounty hunter is armed with a shatter pistol, imperial repeater, Demp grenade, Thermal det and a jet pack.

Once I finished downloading the 1.4...and 1.3...they only include 1 map each. I chose "deploy" after choosing the map in singleplayer.. then it closes my screen and kept saying "the program had stopped playing. I tried to run in adminstrator it still didn't work.

No, there are about twelve First Strike servers.On Saturdays there are community games that are Epic. Usually if you hang out a bit you get a full server. lol, this audio preview is saying "you get a full South East" instead of full server.

if you still got the serial number just download it of torrents or instal from friends dvd... Then use D-Tools to emulate dvd. Download crack from gamecopyworld. And you're good to go.

yeah download bf142 from torrents or borrow the dvd from your friends. Install and use your cd key. Or like I said download it from torrents, and install with your cd key. Then you need to download the patches , install then download no-dvd.exe or no-dvd.iso (I recommend .iso file they always work. Then just download DAEMON Tools it's free and "mount" the iso file with that program. And you're good to go. Perfectly legal and no need for cd's. I go mine originals never use them.

or if you don't want the trouble of figuring out D-tools, you can also just download after install the Battlefield 2142 v1.4 [MULTI15] No-DVD/Fixed EXE copy paste and you play without the cd's

anyways to sum up. Get the bf2142 (from torrents or ellswhere). Download D-tools or winrar to open the downloaded .iso file. install the game with your key. Then install patches. Then download No-DVD fixed exe version 1.4 from gamecopyworld. And replace the fixed exe file with the original in your installed directory. Thats it.

Most of the FS players come from USA and the server usually pick up at weekends night times. OH Yeah, theres always a community game during Friday at 9pm EST. And yes you can still play Bf2142.

It doesn't matter what patch you use. So long as you have Battlefield 2142 install, the mod just uses Battlefield 2142 as it's source and then it turns out as a seperate game, like Special Forces for BF2.

I have the 2142, but is pirate D: so I searched for a solution, and I discovered Hamachi, but the thing is that not too many people is active on the servers, and that sucks.. I'll buy a pirate bf2 for my ps2, I hacked it with the chip.

Battlefront is a horrible game. I've played it a lot and Battlefront is made for 12 year olds who want to shoot guns. First Strike is actually based on teamwork and it actually takes skill to kill somebody. First Strike is also much more lore accurate than any other star wars game made.
