  • awesome book but high level of vocabulary. very interesting indeed, i like the part on hallucinations and the break down of the brain responsible for thoese. his theory is that we all poesses this ability but it has been repressed because of the consicous mind.

    props to thoese who can research this subject on their own without having to be spoon feed by some phd asshole.

  • In the case of idols and idolatry and the practices Jaynes described involving them, no explanation other than mass hallucination suffices. Try searching on 'jaynes' and 'crime' for the bearfabrique description.

  • Biggest barrier is thinking that the phenomena Jaynes described had always been hallucinations. Try a Youtube search on 'jaynes' and 'nature of the discovery'
