  • Thank you soooo much for this first class ticket back down memory lane. Good feelings and memories associated with good times. Amazing what song can do.

  • Talent!

  • Who is that signing with her? on this. Can We Fall In Love Again

ok I got it Michael Henderson

  • Who is that signing with her? on this. Can We Fall In Love Again

  • phyllis and michael henderson, this was my song in high school. so glad i found it again. Thank you

  • Omg, why don’t people stop associating Phyllis with mental illness and death? It’s so depressing! She has too many GOOD WORKS that have NOTHING to do with those things. Joy and pain is a part of life to those that LIVE it to the fullest. Let Phyllis keep her good reputation of delivering good lyrics in song & leave her tragic story be told to those that seek it. We come to U TUBE for her music. I don't think her rep deserves to be treated like one in the tabloids(negative comments).

  • Such an incredibly beautiful lady with amazing vocal talents gone from this earth far too soon. She should still be here today gracing us with beauty, remarkable stage presence and unsurpassed talents. You know showing the young wanna be's what a true DIVA is! I have loved this song and Ms. Phyllis Hymen for years.

  • On my next pay day i'm going to buy a Phyllis Hyman cd.

  • This is one of most beautiful woman that I have ever met tradgically who met her end at the hands of her fame and fortune,This is why I'm so careful at the way I handle mine I'm a Robinson like ,Jackie, Sugar Ray, Smokey, Bo Jangles, but this like them I will not become a victum of my own success, like so many do in the business like my late best friends Michael Jackson,Marvin Gaye, and Phyllis Linda Hyman. I will truly missed them all and so will the whole world, but not as much as I will

  • i would sing this song when i was 2. lol

  • Michael Henderson is 5the male half of the duet. great song on the NorthEast airwaves in 1981, Hyman and Henderson was the call sign for this ballad. 1981 was the year, beautiful summer.

  • this is the most beautiful song ever. She had so much passion she will be missed always

  • Very very underrated artist. No one should ever remake or sample this song.

  • who is the guy?

  • i woud tell my baby's dad this...but out of all the shit he put me through, best i let sleepng dog lay....

  • OOOO PHYLLIS 1 OF our best song writers in the last 40 summodd years, and super singer, she allways sings a graffic song that makes you understand exactly where shes comming from,,sorely missed,,RIP,,QUEEN>>

  • This is real music not this garbage they call music these days synthesized vocals sounds like somebody stepping on cats tails.

  • This lady, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Chante Moore - now these ladies can sing some GORGEOUS AND BEAUTIFUL SONGS!!

  • I cant get enough of her sing. My mom got me hooked to this woman. My mom seen her perform in person and from what my mom said she is even better live. Now this is a true diva and r and b singer.

  • I love Phyllis voice soooo much always and 4 ever

  • In March of 1980 I had the privilege of interviewing her for the radio station and student newspaper @ Bronx Community College, Bronx, New York after a performance at the school. Prior to the performance you knew something special was going to happen. The place went crazy. She gave a spectacular performance. I witnessed the birth of a star.

After my interveiw her, we kept in touch every so often. Phyllis, you left the world too soon. We Miss You!

    RIP.

    Troy!

  • This song is so well done, it has to be one of my all time favorites. Phyllis Hymans voice is so convincing even I would be willing to try again. Micheal Henderson gives a great performance to.....the two of them perfect match. We all really miss this kind of skill and talent......hope someday producers again will make beautiful music like this, we'll be waiting.........Thanx for posting this one.

  • I love this song. Period.

  • For those who keep guessing...the male vocal is Michael Henderson....the same guy she sang "We Both Need Each Other" with.

I LOVE this song. I THINK it was the B side to "Take Me I'm Yours"...but I'm not certain.

    Mr. Chip's

  • Phyllis Hyman another underrated talent..Beautiful woman, with a very beautiful voice. So many people go through highs and lows in life, and those do not know how handle their pain.

  • what a voice! what a shame. r.i.p lady

  • hold on tight lol

  • Old school music and hip hop are 2 entirely different things, for different stages in life they serve their individual purpose.

  • Love Phyllis Hyman. Real music. And like mentioned today's music is garbage, noise making a profit. Old school music didn't disrespect women, bragging about this houses and cars, killing etc. Give me old school anytime.

  • @Gar42nett Agree with you..I miss these jams

  • people throw the word DIVA around so loosely but PHILLYS is, was and will always be one of the truest Divsa that ever was.

Do you have any Love left for me ?

    M.C.Mays Pulliam 2009

  • Love You PHYLLIS, RIP

  • Beautiful lady tragic life. from an earlier comment Michael Henderson the male vocalist on this song, is her hubby?? thanks for sharing. Overbrook in the hizhouze...

  • hey that wasn't Phyllis hubby singing with her just a good friend her husband wasn't a singer

  • @MzNita22 James Ingram comes to mind, but I could be wrong.

I really get choked up when I listen to her. Knowing she's no longer with us and how she left us. But back in the day, her music was the BEST.

  • @MzNita22 Correction, I just saw it was Michael Henderson. Good styrong vocals.

  • sandrajeantaylor u r defn8tly right this music today is garbage

  • pure talent something like four and one-half to five octaves. there's none better past or present or future. you singing for the angels now cause we ain't show you real appreciation, we flooded the radio stations with these talentless, couldn't carry a tune in a shopping bag garbage r and b singers of today. today's music is a joke.

  • I love you , your wife..I love you michael

  • A beautiful song by Phyllis. It is so sad how she left here. I make no excuses for how she did leave here. we all look for happiness to overcome our pain but mostly the wrong way. Some do it by drinking some by drugs some by prescribed medicine none of which can take away the pains of this life permanently. Jesus can, if you truly believe in him and accept him. In him there are no sad stories.

  • I try to concentrate on what she left us, not the misfortunes she endured while she was with us. I am happy whenever I hear her singing or see her performing in some video. I would love to see someone make a story of her life on the big screen. And NOT Beyonce in the starring role. Though I do like enjoy Beyonce. She has a long way to go to get to this kind of talent. Tell me again why do the good (and talented) die young?

  • Honey, Mrs. Carter couldn't do it even if she did it! lol It's a "Law of Phyllis".

  • @westphillysoul LOL!

  • @westphillysoul this my friend is the truth!

  • @yaya4now2 I think Lisa FIscher will do that role justice. I have always found that Lisa reminds me alot of Phylis...her voice and manner

  • @74trinigirl totally huh?!

  • thank God for Michael Henderson

  • Beautiful woman and voice and i will love and miss her always. It is so nice to hear good words and a voice that gives it justice. God bless her and keep her.

  • I love her music and she have a beautiful voice I have her cds

  • A talent none can compare too her voice was like no other and the control is unreal.I just feel that of all the great female singers Phyllis was still in a class by herself. If given the chance and pray and one

more day on this earth perhaps she could have gotten the help and love she craved. Can you imagine the magic she could have created if she has mounts of love around her.If she was so powerful through pain what could love have produce or even a child, she would have been pure magic!!!!

  • YEAH, I miss her so much, I think she would have grown and grown, look at Tina or Patti who had major success late in their careers. OH, Phyllis I wish you could have gotten help and stayed with us. I think you gave so much to a song and thus to us. I have all her albums and they give me such immense pleasure-I hope somewhere she knows that.

  • This is one of the best duets Phyllis has done. This woman could sing the ABC's and sell half a million albums. I love the emotion she puts into her music. I love her ballads the most. I hate that she was so unhappy, I knew she had depression I had no idea she was bipolar. And the drugs and alcohol did'nt help, but she needed to numb the pain. I wish you were here to continue to amaze w/your unmatched talent. I love you Phyllis Hyman!!!!!!
