  • hey johnjay some people don't go into the great-out door's for fun ....fishing camping trecking mountain climbing snowboarding.......they preach from the couch....

hey i'd not like to have them with me when the shit hit's the fan...saying that ...

as history has showing the dead got eaten by the one's who survived......

food's food dude.......have you read the s.a.s survival guide...great read for the out door's.....good vid ...keep up the good work..mmc

  • nice!!!!

  • wtf!

  • iz it eaz to put bak

  • well this trap really sucks but its also good because the birds like to stay high in the air and they wouldn't land on something close to the ground, they would've landed on the binded stick that swings up in the air when the trap goes off ... but this is a good trap for land animals like squirrel and rabbit..because all u have to do is put bait on the stick (the one closest to the ground) and wait for an animal to come

  • Great video mate . Thanks for spending the time to do.

  • needs to be a big ass bird for that "hair pin trigger" you got there

  • Why the crap would a bird sit on that?

  • mow your grass

  • come on.. It's not even illegal to hunt birds.. At least most of 'em, and then again - who cares about rules when you're starving to death ? Get real city people!

  • actually, the botswanans use a toggle release for the trigger(using the trigger stick for the middle stick), more sensitive and reliable, this setup would be too hard to set off for a small bird, maybe even too big for a pheasant.

  • u eat it

  • Skvělá past, kterou ocení hlavně ten kdo si ji dokáže představit ve velkém provedení.5/5

  • can you send me a video of how to build that trap

  • Waldimarable obviously doesn't know what survival is!

I love your videos johnjayrambo11111they teach me alot, its very difficult to find primitive trapping techniques online keep it up!

  • life or death meaning a survival situation were without using this you will starve to death

  • i saw ur trap.. if u make some thing like thah on real life for survive for sure u will die of starve... it is way to have and also don't have inougth pression an the triger.. but any ways good try..

  • @Waldimarable if your squatting you need to eat

  • i hope you are joking , you have no right coming to my channel spouting nonesense , what country do you live in ? there are many different laws regarding bird hunting and who sais i actually use these traps , plus if anyone does they are meant to be used in a life or death situation

  • @Waldimarable

hunting birds is not illegal? it's only songs birds and birds of prey that are protected, maybe you should read up on your laws more before throwing false legal info around.

  • @Waldimarable you are sooo gay, wtf bird killing is illegal who gives a shit did you see him catch a bird with it; no so stop acusing him of shit you havnt even seen him do you fucking idiot!

    good vid johnjayrambo11111

  • @Waldimarable you got BURNT

  • i think the trigger is too stiff for birds to set off.you had to slam on it to set it off.

  • nice 5/5* can that trap catch a crow:D i want one for taxidermy. Or if you know better traps tell me pls

  • hi im 14 and in the uk theres a dog fox who is killin my dads friends chickens do u have a trap i could use to catch it non kill but i dont really mine

  • @splottblue go look up tree noose trap or someting like that

  • does this kill the bird?dont kall me krazy but i catch birds for pets

  • i catch pets for birds

  • @jmpatinhas15 erm...k.o.

  • @tazrockslikecool456

then maybe you should look at his pheasant trap, also called a Arupuca bird trap, developed by natives in Brazil, basically a angled falling cage trap that keeps them alive and well, especially if you used a lot of bait to sustain them until you get to them.

  • can this catch small birds?

    5/5

  • how did you make the bird trap

  • is that like an ostrich trap cuz its bigass

  • ok good video but just a tip for you: the loop is way to big cause when or if a bird sets it off its going to completely miss the bird. you need to make a smaller loop that way you will catch the bird for sure.

  • nice but you did not capure the unlucky bird

  • the only difference is the size of the sticks, the real thing uses a smaller trigger stick, making it faster, and you don't need a strong spring stick since most birds are light enough.

  • the natives created the firsts traps to hunt it and eat it

  • the doenst work i try it and it doenst work the bird is skinny

  • mmmm....make a video trapping a bird with this trap!....by now i dont think so that the trap work

  • They do work

especially for smaller birds when there is less tension needed and finer trap

but the larger ones more force is needed

then it need a pissed off ostrich to trigger it

  • does you have ever has trapped a bird with this trap?? if yes, make a video !!!!

    with the bird trapped

  • he won't, since this is a survival trap, makes the animal suffer, but necessary in a survival situation.

  • will it actually catch a bird, i saw how high the rope got and i was just wonderin

  • the rope went so high because it traveled up the stick he was using to set it off.. luckily birds do not have such tall smooth cylindrical bodies and will be caught either by the legs, neck or wings once they trigger it..

    nice trap

  • is itmore sensetive if u use thinner sticks

  • can somebody tell me if this works or not?

  • it does, just needs a smaller trigger stick so it's more sensitive, but for larger birds like grouse and pheasant, sure.

you add the bait to the middle of the stick and the bird does the rest.

  • Have you caught anything with this? blackbirds or pigeons?

  • nice

  • another great video! quick question, where do you get all the saplings?

  • i don't know but i am guessing trees? lol

  • not one of ur better traps stil have awesome videos could u maybe show how to mak a platform trap

  • how do u make??

  • Comment removed

  • Ok I don't see how that would go around the bird's neck because when you triggered it with that piece of wood it catches way up high on the wood. Is it just sliding up the branch really fast and I just can't see it? Would it stop around the birds head while the bird is still by the bait stick?

  • oh i see, thanks

  • nice but what would actually make the bird even land down there?

  • ah, your supposed to put seed down so they peck at the bait stick , then get the noose around there neck

  • or a lot of peanut butter!! thats wut i did

  • The Botswana use the bird's eggs as a lure.

  • thanks mate

  • excellent video 5/5
