I got to meet Phil after an SNL taping (Sharon Stone was the guest host that night). I mentioned this skit to Phil, quoting the lines in this video verbatim (it was my favorite bit). Phil just starting laughing and mentioned that those lines were made up by Mike Myers. I'm glad I got to (very briefly) meet Phil. He was my fav and he would have provided many more years of laughter......... :-(

I heard there was going to be a Sprockets movie back around 2005 but Myers backed out of it. He'd already signed on, though, so the studio sued him. I heard he's hard to work with (that's why Elizabeth Hurley wouldn't do the Austin Powers sequels.)
