heyyy, just wantd to say.....i dig your videos bro....i dont know why you dont got more views. i think you are pretty captivating and interesting as far as youtube vlogging goes...
Well my answer is two part...I first started YouTubing looking at different artists, and you were one I ended up liking. Mostly I use YouTube for teaching my students now though...there are some interesting videos to use in the classroom on here! But I still check back to your videos because you are a pretty interesting guy, and pretty cute too...haha...have a good day Dennis!
You're awesome. Thats 2 points for my ego. hehe. Just make sure you don't show your students my videos.... the last thing this world needs is more people turning out like me.
I showed them one of your painting clips when we were studying american realism, and it fit into a lesson on color imagery in The Great Gatsby...I won't go into details as to why...lol
They thought you were an interesting cat though...heh
If half of my students had your sarcasm though, it would make for a more entertaining classroom. So maybe more Dennises in the world wouldn't be half bad. *wink*
uh oh.... I'm scared now. I've been used in a classroom. That either means I did something right, or horribly wrong. I'll have to think that one out. What grade students do you teach?
Well in this case...you did something right...my students then had to create their own artistic interpretations mixing your painting style and the literature.
I teach grades 6-12. I mostly deal with high schoolers though.
Oh my God! That must be fun. (very, very sarcastic) I was such a horrible teenager, I feel for any teacher who had to endure my savage behavior. YOu must be a very patient person.
It can be trying at times, but I enjoy it. I have found that just getting down on the high schooler's level helps a lot. I tend to have fun with them, instead of come down hard on them...when they feel free to express themselves openly, it makes for a much better learning environment. Then again, I teach at a non-traditional school. I teach at a Charter School for Liberal Arts and Technology.
Thats awesome. I wish I cad gone to an arts school. Schools should be able to recognize the kind of student I was and recommend me to an arts school. It was obvious that I was rebelling against the system, and just needed a more suitable challenge. Now I'm terrible with studies, and mediocre with the arts. Oh well. Sounds like you have a pretty fulfilling job.
Yeah I enjoy it...they are good kids. I was a pretty rebellious student as well, so I guess I understand and commiserate with them a bit. It all works out though...we have a good time.
I youtube because there's a ton of talent out there; I love independent work; the DIY ethic appeals to me; this is why I love myspace for music. I post my animations because I thought it'd be great if others saw my work and posted what they thought.
Hi Dennis!! You should vlog more, you do a great job!! I think we all do it for the same reason, in a way!! Attention is nice, yet making friends and sharing your work is the other great part of it as well..
You Rock bro. ya know... as you said before... sharing your work is definitely a huge part. The thing is... I love being creative... and my need for attention brought me to youtube.... which gave me reason to be creative. A full circle. Hmm never realized that before either.
I would be interested to see your video response. You have a knack fro creativity. I'm expecting some brutally honest answers from some... maybe some joke videos. It would be awesome to get a bunch of people involved.
i get on when im sleepy and give people compliments i think. when i get too sleepy then the line between a compliment and an incomprehensible block of text begins to grow thin to the point where i dont remember what i was trying to say in the first place and reading over what i just typed doesn't help because none of it is real words. i like your video, your honesty is refreshing!
I know exactly how that is. The internet is filled with random half-asleep delerious comments from me. Its fun though. Try and make a response video to this... it would be cool.
