What most civilians don't understand is that the inter-service smack talk between service members is a way of showing respect. It's all lighthearted and fun but if you never served DON'T talk any smack about any military branch or unit. You'll get your cover handed to you.

I was in the Navy Sea Cadets and it is an awesome way to see what you think of the Navy before you enlist. They offer lots of good opportunities that will help you in your Navy career. If you get to a certain rank in the Sea Cadets you will leave Navy boot camp at a higher rank. You should look into it!
