Praise God there are still people following their father. Abraham left Ur of the Chaldeans (city with most archeological remains of moon god) to a religion of blood sacrifice (he even included a son into that religion = seed of a woman will bruise the serpent). Not much has changed though. Abraham did this after Haran (brother of Abraham) fathered an "Iscah" (observance = animal sacrifice) & died before his father, Terah, in Ur of the Chaldeans.
