@llCoccodrillo91 well I'm 12 and iv only got a very small keyboard from my grandma when my dad was little so I think I'll find it a bit harder than you -:(
@49littlemisssunshine I'm sorry, but... you really don't need to be a pro to play these 4 chords and the rhythm... I play piano for 10 years now and started to play this right at the time it was published... I love the Axis of Awesome :)
@johnspunk just because hes doing a rendition of it dosent mean he stole it... and im sure axis of awesome wasent even the first person to think about this :P
@StainzToXin yes actually they were ... "vinny" from the band actually studied pop songs and realised they all seemed to sound the same and eventually he figured out the 4 chord thing
@umairrrr actually the axis of awesome didnt do it first. technically benny davis did it first. the axis of awesome formed after benny put this song together.
Why is the video mirrored? The high notes are on his left hand, but the guitars in the background seem to be completely normal :S i'm a little confused
@gunnyvdike i know they are professional (that is how you spell professional by the way) but even though they are professional, they are not that good of singers, they are just really good performers and make it look fun
He said in the description that he got the idea from Axis of Awesome and Pachelbel Rant. He didn't rip off anything or make anything worse. He did A COVER. That means he did his own version. It actually sounds good.
Thats HILARIOUS! I knew alot of songs used it but I didn't realize just how many, however some were kind of a stretch to make them fit the pattern, but yeah really quite interesting :P
It's awsome, but you should have written the noes to the discription, cuz I tried to understand what notes did you play, but I didn't get it. Good job!
the songs were slow, the chords need to be sped up, and for all of you that say he did a good job putting this together, he got it from a group called axis of awsome. check them out if you like this
@joey348 To his credit, he at least used some songs they didn't :P. But yeah, the Axis of Awesome one is quite entertaining (make sure to watch a live one, don't just listen to the studio version).
Just out of interest, was this made before or after the axis of awesome one......i couldnt help noticing that most of the songs were the same.......just putting it out there....
It's a little bit weird how the video is in mirror-view... I've been getting a headache watching the guitar in the back and the playing of the hands while listening :P
Someone please make a tutorial for this and explain slowly :P left hand then right hand then toghether or something like that.... mail me if you made one i really want to learn this...
Um, is it just me or are the high notes on his piano on our right/his left... and the low notes one our left/his right... is it just me or does that seem backwards?
You lied about the chords you used... you didnt use E B C# A, more likely you used F F/Bb F/Eb G/Eb... dont post something you just copied from someone else and lying about the chords you used
there's no way u are playing E B Cshp and A.... ..its either u transposing or something ... those keys u played are not as u started....coz i could see u played C F Dshp and G.. if u doubt this just pause the video n look .......
there's no way u are playing E B Cshp and A.... ..its either u transposing or something ... those keys u played are not as u started....coz i could see u played C F Dshp and G.. if u doubt this just pause the video n look .......
Great job, but like others have mentioned your keyboard is backwards so it's very hard to make out the keys your playing. Here is what I figured out. I believe this is called the I-V-vi-IV progression.
First chord - E Major (I chord) - LH (E-E) RH (B-E-B)
Second chord - B Major (V chord) - LH (B-B) RH (B-F#-B)
Third chord - C# minor (vi chord) - LH (C#-C#) RH (B-E-B)
Fourth chord - A Major - (iv chord) LH (A-A) RH (A-C#-A)
Hope this helps all of you non dyslexics out there.
@66webber66 Because he just says "We're gonna start with an E" but you don't know what notes (keys) to play exactly and it's not that visible from what he is playing there. So it isn't that easy to figure out the chords.
I wish there was a tutorial for exactly these chords, all tutorials I found were with a 4-chord-melody nearly no song is fitting to^^
@witzbold91 The reason the E - B - C#m - A doesn't work on most of the songs (original versions) is because he (actually he didn't completely, but The Axis Of Awesome, who came up with this, did) transposed them all so that he/they could play them all in one key. What he plays is completely visible in the video, you just have to look little closely :p But don't play this, play the AOA version, it's what he ripped this off, and ruined it. :p
@66webber66 Well, I don't think he ruined it. He just reinterpreted it :D Plus, where do I find any tutorial dealing with the real chords used by AOA?
@witzbold91 AOA used the chords E - A - C#m - G. SOme of the songs go C#m - G - E - A, but if you start off on the E, like they do, and just keep playing that loop, it'll work out. The original chords for the original songs all vary, they just transposed them to the same key to make it fit. They use the same system, just a different key :p
@66webber66 Thank you! The thing I always wonder about is what are the keys I have to play during the single note. For example AOA doesn't just play E - A - C#m (is it C minor?) - G but presses many keys simultaniously, a chord so to speak.
I mean, I can play E - A - C#m and G but it doesn't sound elaborated :)
(There are various ways of playing them, but this is the basic. For instance, you could have the B in the E-chord as the bottom note instead of the top, or both for that matter... but if you're a beginner, the basic chords are the easiest :)
With the left hand you just play octaves of E B C# and A.
I'm sorry, I told you the wrong chords; it's E - B - C#m and A, not G (I'm tired xD)
Am I imagining this or is the keyboard backwards at the end, like a mirror image, it's very confusing. it's as if he's turned around ...the high keys start off on his right hand and then move to his left?
@LittlewingKD You are not imagining this. I just got very confused when I looked at his hands playing different chords to what he said they were. He's flipped the image! It's as though he is playing it upside down. It had me very worried. I wonder why he did that???
wow that was awesome!! This is why I tend to stay away from pop its so repititve!! You are a really good singer with such a unique voice! If you get a chance please check out my songs and let me know what you think!
Dude, if you pause it and try to get the chords in the beginning, the look on his face is fu&*ing creepy.
The chords don't match up with reality because he plays Fa do fa do do and calls it e. he must have changed the octave with the electric settings. sickening really.
great great great great job. i loved it. i was wondering if i can get the names of those songs. i just stated piano and have been looking for some fun songs. thaks.
what chords are those? can somebody tell me please?

@witzbold91 First of all, C#m is C-sharp minor :p
Chords:
E = E G# (G sharp) B
B = B D# F#
C#m = C# E G#
A = A C# E
(There are various ways of playing them, but this is the basic. For instance, you could have the B in the E-chord as the bottom note instead of the top, or both for that matter... but if you're a beginner, the basic chords are the easiest :)

Dude, if you pause it and try to get the chords in the beginning, the look on his face is fu&*ing creepy.
The chords don't match up with reality because he plays Fa do fa do do and calls it e. he must have changed the octave with the electric settings. sickening really.
winner for creepiest youtube video ever

@Leonardony123 He's playing into a mirror.

@Leonardony123 I noticed that too. His webcam is reversed (mirrored). I'm not sure why but this happens via some webcams. Keen eye and good catch :)
