  • Summer of 92...this was a transitional time between hair metal and alternative rock.

  • Peter's got his Bill Shankly t-shirt on... Standard lad! :)

    Ynwa

  • This song reminds me of a girl I used to work with in Yates wine Lodge in Birkenhead, Debbie, I remember she came in work bouncing up and down the Farm the farm. Thought she had gone nuts, she was telling me about this song. Everytime I hear it I remember her. Classic times.

  • This tune brings back some good memories - man I miss those days! Dance and party allnight long to the MaDchester scene!

  • shame its over produced .. dang

  • WOW! The kids get it! GROOVY! When your grand kids ask you what side you took on saying the word GROOVY- are you going to say you backed degrading and racist slang- or do you want to tell them you stood up for the GROOVY REVOLUTION? 2012- the year we take back the language! Say GROOVY in public once a day. This time, we get to win!

  • Great guitar riff....

  • celtic soccer casuals rule!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ckyable is there something about this video that makes your comment relevant here or are you just being a prick?

  • Blast from the past. Brings me back to my students days.

  • Where was this filmed, southport?

  • Great song. This isnt the video that I saw back in the day on Mtv... The other one didnt look so home made.. and I remember it had a Double Dutch bus .. where is that version?

  • :0

  • Saw them open for Big Audio Dynamite, back in the day. Great live show, lots of stagediving, etc. Fantastic evening. That being said, this isn't a very good video...

  • pure british song !

  • @anomissi british with american beats and guitars. pretty american sounding too actually.

  • Surely one of the most underrated songs ever

  • WATCH THIS PEOPLE /watch?v=gV9A2IGShuk TIME TO GIVE THE GLOBALISTS HELL WAKE PEOPLE UP

  • Roses, Farm, Ride, Blur, Lush, doesn't get much better!!!!

  • Good to see Bill Dean in there having fun as a more mature member of the farm he was a great actor.

  • <3

  • great time to be coming of age.

  • Love this song so very much. And the old fella is clearly a shameless device to get chicks to dig the song. *Sigh* I'm ashamed to say that it worked on this chick. (That old guy is freakin' adorable! With the captain hat...Come ON!!! SOOOO Effen CUTE!!!)

  • Reminds me of my first blowjob! Receiving not giving obviously!

  • think hes singing to ringo ok track !! cool

  • Why is this song in mono? Needs to be in HD stereo!!

  • i'm only 27 years of age so as you can imagine i was very young when this was released like many other top indie tunes in the 90s, the music today is just ridiculous karaoke bullshit like xfactor, they cant compete of the likes of these type of 90s music :)

  • The Farm,Harry Cross and Southport all in the same video!!!!Gotta be groovy!!!!

  • waz in southport on the day freakin hot man

  • great Great GREAT song

but awful audio fidelity on this video, I have heard better audio from Flip videos on YouTube

  • Those were the days my friends!! Is it my mushed up memory,or did The Farm try to "buy" Bez off Happy Mondays??

  • Oh yes............. the days and nights that became weeks and months we danced to this, when we were young and everything and anything seemed possible, happy happy days.......

  • doo de doo de de doo de doo de de doo doo de doo de de doo doo de doo de de doo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhh

  • This was released in 1990 when I was 10, Same era as The Happy Mondays, The Stone Roses, James etc.....I remember all the iconic tracks from back then and I only really listen to music from that era now. Is it me or were the summer days always hot and sunny back then ? Could be my selective memory thinking it was. All the songs gave out a good summer vibe aswell.

  • Does anyone know where this was shot? To the mostly untrained American eye I would guess Brighton? Brings back memories.

  • @hotroute Southport Fair in Merseyside,happy days!

  • @captaincomputa Thanks for the heads up. A little research on my end might have been helpful before I guessed Brighton. Brighton is a southern resort, beach, vacation town is it not?

  • @hotroute Yeh,with a pebbly beach and lots of Gays,Southports in the North West near me.

  • I think the old guy is Bill Dean the actor who played Harry Cross. Around the time this video was made I used to see him reguarly boozing in my local, The Hesketh Arms.

The actual groovy train in the video is the Lakeside Miniature Railway in Southport. I used to work there in the 1980's shortly before this video was shot. The railway still operates and has just celebrated its centenary.

It is also nice to see some footage of Southport's wooden roller coaster The Cyclone. Sadly now gone.

  • wow amazing its reminds me....the golden days of my life .......PARTY>>BOOSE>>NIGHT LIFE >>90's wow man unforgatable.............!

  • One of my favourite ever songs. Brings back great memories. Love it!!

  • Not bad for a scouse effort ! HAHA only jokin.....Mint track....Is that old guy in the video Harry cross ?

  • THAT IS JONNY HARNETT FROM DAGENHAM

  • Hey, I'm as pro-man as they come, but this song DESPERATELY needs a cool, groovy, good-looking chick in it, as opposed to the dozens of dorky English dudes....

  • This is my favourite song, and im still in my mothers womb!

  • Great song!

  • Cool song - Gay video.

  • These guys were like the Boy Scout version of Happy Mondays.

  • i love this song! and i'm only 4 !!

  • @angelusmortis1412 I guess not,I live here in the USA,this one must think there are not ACTUAL enclaves of real English folks living here ....lol.....

  • Right tidy.

  • Early Fall of 1991... here in the States

  • Remind me who was Harry Crosby's ancient repressed gay lover Ralph in Brookside? (Kids, the cameo by the elderly speccy gimp in the vid is played by 'Harry Crosby')

  • @MrCFCarePOO Sorry my early onset Alzheimer's bad! Crosby is in Merseyside..I meant Harry Cross ( and he most certainly was...that and grumpy, when he wasn't licking Ralph's balls.)

  • F'kin QUALITY. Saw these guys at the Word!

  • I love this song, thank you for posting but this is not the video from the 90s. I remember the band rolling through New York on a double decker bus and goofing around in front of the camera.

  • @Delisle4 This is the original video, the one in New York was made later, cant remember why, but it might have been for the US market.

  • @jonesyboy69

Excellent! Thanks for the clarification. I guess you are right, in order to market the band in the U.S. they would have made a different video.

  • When Harry Met Scally.

Brilliant, and Peter's wearing the 35 Summers 'Shankly' shirt throughout.

  • This song rocks, what brilliant times these were for music!!!!!!!!

  • big up harry cross lol

  • This era is England as I like to remember it. Especially all the cross pollination between musical genres. All the good stuff had a dancey sensibility like this.

  • @DaftSwank

yeah i thought that was the official video
