I laughed my ass off when I first saw this episode. Being a fan of this show AND Survivor; when I saw that it was Colby Donaldson that Larry was walking up to, I could totally tell where they were going with this and bursted out laughing right before Larry was introduced to Colby. I never would've thought in a million years that Survivor would be referenced in this show. Larry David is a genius.

I'm confused. You all think this is hilarious, I think it's shocking that anyone could be so clueless and so heartless. I think Larry was trying to raise awareness for the Holocaust, and I naively hope most people will find it ridiculous that someone doesn't know about the Holocaust, but I fear David knows what he's doing..

That's exactly the point - it's satire. A classic literature example would be Swift's "A Modest Proposal" where he suggests the poor sell their babies to the rich in order to make money to buy food. Very clever.

It's not meant to do harm, it's just meant to raise awareness of the "issues" of our society today.
