  • I think that the scandinavian versions is way more better (Norway, Sweden, Denmark) Good try by the finnsh though.

  • I love Lion King, and must say the Finnish version was better than i had expected, but i think the Swedish version is best tbh ;)

  • Beautiful :) But i like the norwegian version best :D

  • Pumaa's first line sounds like a bark

  • it's only better if you're used to it.

  • Se on ''onnen hijaisen'' eikä ''tunnen hiljaisen''

  • haha, love timon in finnish :D But I think the norwegian Timon is really good too :D aww, love lion king!! <3<3

  • käännökset vähän kömpelöitä D: ihana biisi ♥

  • like the norwegian version better

  • Se on muuten "sen onnen hiljaisen" eikä "sen tunnen hiljaisen".

    Aivan mahtava laulu! <3

  • @NadraTLK

eipä muuten ole "sen onnen hiljaisen" :D vaa iha "sen tunnen hiljaisen" ;)

mä kuuntelin toistamiseen iha kuulokkeilla ja kuuntelin ihan tarkasti.

  • @Tinsu92

Kyllä se on '' sen onnen hiljaisen ''. Mäkin kuuntelin kuulokkeilla ja tarkasti ;)

  • @HulluRichie

joo :D huomasin iteki jossaki välis x))))

  • in the womans Armpit?.... finnish is scary

  • @ImezameI

Umm... hehe, well it's a little hard to translate. While "naisen kainaloon" literally means "into a woman's armpit" what the phrase means is into a position where someone has their arm around you. So a better translation is "And if he stay's in love with the woman's arm around him..."

  • Kuka laulaa sen?

  • Beautiful language this finnish...

  • wat country is finnish from?

  • *facepalm*

  • :D:D:D not real?

I guess finnish comes from Finnland ;)

  • pleas say youre joking???

  • Hahaha, I'm sorry, but are you serious??

If you would have googled it, you would have gotten an answer right away - and you wouldn't have every person reading this comment laugh at you.

    Sorry, but wow...

Think you should pay more attention in school.

Or learn how to use Google. :]

  • jep<3

  • Simbal on symppisääni :)

  • in a woman's armpits?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • i asked this a while ago, apparently its a finnish term for being held by a woman.

  • lol it sounds good when the lady sings it the other person singing sounds funky to me i wish it was in english

  • Well, even though the lyrics are wrong, I think the are more poetic this way. I like it.

  • how are they wrong?

  • finnish version is way better than the english one, as usual ;)

  • i do prefer these lyrics a lot more than the english ones.

  • paras laulu koko leffassa! suomalaiset ja saksalaiset äänet ovat parraita!

  • lol,its was cool,but ehh lol!!!!

    finnish!?

    i cant that:P

  • You also "can't" English..

  • It seems like this guy didn't know all of the finnish lyrics

  • that's because he's actually ACTING to be confused, not just reading the words from a peace of paper. ;)

  • The lyrics are a bit wrong EVEN in finnish. Just so you know.

  • solocitizen: yes that is actually quite strange translation... zt3fan has clearly translated the words straight from finnish to english, its more like "In a woman's arms" than "in a woman's armpit"

    Jennifer

  • I love finnish, greetings from your neighbour Norway :)

  • 2:23

    "in a woman's armpit."

    WTF?

    Weird lyrics....

    Lost in translation

  • lmao i dont know why i totally didnt see the time you gave for when it says that. when i saw it i nearly died. that was nuts. funny how translation works sometimes.

  • it doesn't mean THAT. not literally no. it means to hold someone in arms or to hug. ;P

  • Sen pitäis olla "tunnetko jo rakkauden, sen ONNEN hiljaisen" ja "kun luodut maan, voi TOISTAAN rakastaa" ja "tunnetko jo rakkauden, jo kohta LÖYDÄT sen". On kyllä hieno kappale ja hieno leffa!

  • finnish is beautiful! <3

  • hew, nice video

    5 stars for u

  • Rakastan Nalan ääntä tässä ♥__♥

  • I love Timon!!

I'm gonna listen to that song in my language, I forgot it!!

    This version is beautiful!!

  • This is a mixture of two languages that I absolutely do not know (Swahili + Finnish) bt even though, it sounds so good.

  • what is swahili? never heard :o

  • swahili is the language of the background.

  • Hi, i like your english translation "tunnetko jo rakkauden". May i translate it on german and upload the video? I ask you that because you're the owner of the translation and it's just nice to ask something before you do it without the consent of the owner

  • i like the finnish version better ^^

  • oO OMG!!! How could it be that I have never seen the Finnish version? It's really beautiful!!!

  • In a woman's armpit ROFL

  • we actually say it like "in somebody's armpit" but the meaning is.. mm. different in english. it means like someone's hugging someone. holding someone, you know? it might sound weird but we use it. :P

  • Öhömm.. Se on ''sen onnen hiljaisen'' Tossa alussa siis..

  • 21ellie12: the subtitles are translated from finnish lyrics, so they may not be the same as you know.

  • that's because it's transalted from the finnish version. it's not able to translate the finnish version correctly from english, so the lyrics are a bit different in every version. that's why these english subtitles are different too.

  • Serious goosebumps

  • this song in german is the best version, really. but i love finnsih, anyway ^^

  • Wow! This and swedish <3 Love it!

  • I read some old comments and I saw that people said "g" and "d" isn't used in finnish..

    "kuningas" "rakkauden"

I don't think he didn't turn his brain on before commenting..

    Ontopic:

    I love it..

5 stars and thanks for uploading!

  • About the 4:th row.. I should be "didn't" shouldn't be there.

Well, that's what happens if you type too fast..

  • at 2:24 why does it say `in a woman's armpit`?

  • well we usually say in armpit when someone is hugging someone. :P it's hard to explain but we use it. it doesn't mean you really go under someone's armpit :D argh. can't explain it right.

  • I think the best translation for that would be "lying in her arms",just like enmie said, it's hard to explain..:P

  • every version of this song is prettier than elton john's

  • Kuunnelkaa nyt tota ihan tarkasti ihmiset ! :D "Tunnetko jo rakkauden, sen onnen hiljaisen, kun luodut maan, voi toistaan rakastaa, ja saada rauhan sen" Se menee noin :D

  • Hei joo! Nyt kun kunnol kuuntelin, niin kyl se oli onnen hiljaisen eikä tunnen hiljaisen.

  • heeh timon has a funny voice :D !

  • Nalan ääni on todella kaunis, ja tykkään kyllä Simbankin äänestä. Alussa tuo naisen ääni (ei ollut Nalan!) ei ollut mikään paras mahdollinen, mutta loppu onneksi pelasti. Timon ja Pumba on sulosia, aw.

  • haha, finnish is so funny :)

  • the language or the sound of Finnish?

  • It is "varhain", not "varkain". :'D

  • Actually, it is "varkain".

But I noticed something else: There should be "Kun kuohuu maa/voi toista rakastaa", not "Kun luodut maan/voi toista rakastaa".

Also, many errors on the English translation.

  • Kyllä se on "luodut maan", ei "kuohuu maa".

  • many errors??

    its meant to start

i can see whats happening and they don't have a clue they'll fall in love and heres the bottom line our trios down to two. the sweet caress of twilight theres magic everywhere and with all this romantic atmosphere disasters in the air.

i did this song for my junior cert so i know it pretty well.

  • Yea, but the english words here are just the translations for the finnish lyrics =)

  • No, it isn't

  • Umm, whaaat? :DDDDDDD If you mean Tarja, it is denifetly not, and if you mean Anette, she was waaay too young to sing this -90!

  • Whats with the box in the beginning?

    I Really like this version..

Should work a little on the english grammar but I think everyone understands so it doesn't matter.

  • The box is referring to a Finnish way of speaking about a bachellors home. "Poikamiesboksi" = "Bachellorbox" :D Kinda wierd when you translate it...

  • Okay, thanks for explaining it to me :)

I never would have been able to understand that myself.

  • Poikamiesboxi = Bachelorbox ;)

  • "a Bacherlor box" is something we Finns mean "a living place for unmarried man/men" by

  • Nalan ääni on niin kaunis! <3

  • Nalas voice is absolutely perfect. The translation is a bit confusing since Finnish has got many words or sentences which as liteatelly translated can sound very very ridiculous.

  • And about the armpit... :D Yeah it means "in woman's armpit" if you translate it straightly, but the metaphor means actually "in woman's embrace".

    Nice work anyway!

  • "Varkain käy se yössä sydämen" and "Stealing trough" do not quite match in this contexts, as Yadyadyada said. "Varkain" refers more correctly to "sneaking", but doesn't necessarily have the negative tint of that. Something happens or goes "varkain" when it happens without anyone noticing, secretly.

The whole phrase would translate more correctly "Secretly it goes (goes by, happens) in the heart of the night, common emotion."

  • n best / is so best song i lovv this Ihana on <333333

  • Work on the English subtitles okay. Great Finnish.

  • Yes, g is used in Finnish too. :D

I adore this version. It has so much feeling. Finnish rules! :D

  • Well g is actually used in Finnish, but not so much! Fron example: Kuningas. (King) :DDD lol.. I love the song!<3 Finnish version is the best of them all. :)

  • This was a nice vid, but I think some lyrics were a bit too straightly translated. For example, "varkain"... well, it really doesn't have much to do with stealing in that context.

    And all that, little mistakes.

But yeah, I didn't mean to hurt anybody's feelings, I know it must be a difficult job sometimes to translate these :)

  • lisäsin suosikkeihin :) disneyn leffojen biisit on just parhaita, varsinki suomeks! ^^

  • this is by far the most beautiful version of this song.

  • This is the easiest Ive ever seen Finnish - nice and slowly sung so you can follow it - Im sure its all to lul you into a false sense of security - Ive tried finnish but gave up after the 50th tense! If anyone knows an easy way to learn basic finnish online please let me know. And greetings from Scotland!

  • in truth there isn't any easy way to learn finnish :) but its worth it ^^

  • Nice video thought the translation didn't always catch the exact meaning of the Finnish version. It was translated a bit too straight.

  • I can't believe, at somebody understand this language.. :) But I love it.

  • Does anyone else notice in the Finnish wording of the lyrics there's not one g?

  • heh.. G isn't used in finnish :P neither c, w, q, f, z, b, d or x ^^

    (well, some loanwords contains 'em..)

  • Actually g and also d are used in original finnish words.

  • Tää on vaan yksinkertaisesti PARAS!

This is just simply the BEST version!

  • This is so Kaunis in finnish :D

  • MEZMORIZING!!!!

  • i thought finnish was impossible to sing...but this is wonderful...the text is so alike the swedish song...compare the 2 songs in english!.. is so alike!

  • in womans armpit? LOL! wtf?! hahhahahhaha!

  • That part is bit hard to get in other languages, because if you say in Finnish "I'm in someone's armpit" it can mean that someone's holding/hugging you.

  • in womans armpit? hahaha lol, this sounded like MUMIN all through hahaha

  • !!!!!! TO ALL !!!!

English subs are here because the orginal version's words don't fit in finnish. lyricks are changed in every language, in every disney movie because THEY SOUND LIKE GRAB. lol. these subs are written because you may wanto understant these finnish lyricks !!!

helvetti noi amerikkalaiset on tyhmii -.-

  • Exactly, and remember that languages have their own idioms. In English we say something unchangeable is "written in stone," but that idea would not translate into other languages.

  • Valitan?

  • niimpä. ne valittaa kaikest mahollisest.

  • Varmasti lähestulkoon kaikki valittavat kaikesta mahdollisesta.

  • this is the most beautiful language in the world.

  • So beautiful song in finnish <3 oho nehän puhhuu suomea! xD

And hehe the armpit part is wrong. Yea it is a DIRECT tranlation from "kainalo", but in the finnish version they mean like in woman's "arms" or "lap" xD haha maybe not like that but still.

  • Katoin tän leffan just eilen.<33 Ihanin Disneyn elokuva.

  • Aivan ihana!! Lempi Disney-leffa ollu siitä asti ku näin sen leffassa silloin joskus pienenä aikoinaan =)

kylmät väreet hiipii selkäpiissä koko biisin ajan :)

  • Timon <3 Tulee kylmiä väreitä tännekkin, niin kaunis kappale

  • Nami-Aquatique, the subtitles are just right for the finnish version, the lyrics are different in every version. And if you say that english is orginal, you are maybe right but wrong too. Disney-movies are always orginal in every languages, they are for kids.

  • hyi ku tullee kylmät väreet. 8< Mieki haluaisin poikkiksen niinku simba. Krhm.

    SUOMI ON PARAS KIÄLI. \,,/

  • Ihan kiva video, mut pidin enemmän alkuperäsestä

    dubbauksesta...

  • Kymät... just näin :P

  • Tästä tulee kymät väreet :D Mun lempi Disney-leffa <3

  • käännös oli vähä outo josai kohdis mut muute tosi hyvä video (: ton nalan ääni on nii ihana3 muutenki koko kappale o aivan iiiihana<333 :'>>

  • AJAJAJAJA Suomiperkele <3 i love my language<3 ;D

  • Melko hyvä, mutta unohdit heittomerkit. Se on he'll eikä hell. Käännös on vaikea tehdä kun versiot on kuitenkin aika erilaisia.

  • Tän videon tekijä on ruotsalainen eikä ole itse tehnyt käännöstä.

  • Pahoittelen tyhmyyttäni. Enpä tota tiennyt.

Mutta joo, käännös on silti jossain kohdissa outo.

  • Tämä kappale.....Se on vain niin....ihana....Särkee sydämmet...

  • no the armpit part is correct xD its just that thats how we say it in finnish. it would kinda be something like... under a womans feet or something :'D

  • I love Nala's voice...

  • I have a feeling the translator messed up on the armpit part... Haha! I cannot see even remotely how that fits...

  • Translation was in some parts a little strange, but nice video, thanks :)
