@digitalmeister Jim was a genuine nice guy too. Back in the mid 1950s he enrolled in our high school, mid term. He really was a child prodigy; had already played with Ted Fiorito and Art VanDamme. He even show me how to play a few things on my string bass. Yeah, he was very advanced.
There's a bronze statue of him in Cotati, California. His friends put it up; shows that his friends held him in high regard. I think he was just 55 when he died. Way too soon.

life , it is unbelieveable.
