What the hell game is this? I see no kitten or monk i see an @ sign. This is a terrible game., My gran could draw better graphics. How can you even play this? Didn't you ever hear of World of Warcraft? Wake up to the 21st century man!

Nethack/Adom any other ASCII based adventure game is about 1000x deeper than anything World of Warcraft could provide...

@Barry3443 in world of warcraft can you kill a cocatrice, put on gloves, use the cocatrice corpse as a weapon, accidentally pick up a loadstone, become overencumbered, fall down a flight of stairs land on the cocatrice corpse and turn to stone and die? didn't think so, nethack may not be pretty but it is epic.

@Barry3443 Some of the greatest PC games in the world are based off of these older ones. The original being Rogue. If you have ever enjoyed an RPG with dungeons or anything like Diablo then these games are where you get the inspiration.

This game is really fun. I started playing dwarf fortress adventure mode, and really liked it so I thought I'd play Nethack.

Both very good games. I just remembered that at one point in dwarf fortress, I stole a turtle from a barrel in a shop and beat the shopkeeper to death with it :O lol.

I hope toady eventually makes adventure have more purpose, it is rather enjoyable but gets to be boring after a while, maybe select a main quest or simply play sandbox mode which would be what it is currently

You can't kick fountains. Black puddings and other cool things come from kicking sinks.

To look at what's on the spot you're on hit ":" It will tell you if you're on an alter. Also to make holy water the alter has to be coaligned.
