In case anyone is wondering why the US is so unreasonable and irrational about their afghan war; Here it is. Unbeknownst to most citizen knuckleheads of the West, there existed a war much longer than the Cold War itself... It was a silent cold race-war with the Far East spanning a more than a century. And the stationing of troops in Afghanistan (along with Japan and Korea) are an integral part of this war perpetrated almost entirely by the Anglos/Americans specifically (and west in general).
