2KSports had a contest on their site to choose which cover fans wanted. Those were just two different options. The one where he's grabbing at his Lakers jersey ended up winning. But the other one was just another option/choice you could vote for to possibly be on the cover of 2K10

It was a joke and I KNEW it was a joke. That's why I said in the video it wouldn't happen, even if it was legal, which it isn't.

But only an asshole would comment on something like that. I voted for the Knicks jersey because I'm not a Kobe fan so I really don't give a fuck. I like the Knicks better than I like the Lakers, plus blue and orange look better than the gay ass purple and yellow. But that's beside the point.

Kobe has been a cover athlete tons of times for games dating back to the nintendo 64. How about giving someone else a chance? My vote would be for brandon roy.

Brandon Roy wouldn't be a HORRIBLE choice, but definitely not in my Top 10.

Don't get me wrong. From what I saw in the Rockets series, he was phenomenal. But he's still got some growing to do. A lot of people still don't know who he is, so he probably wouldn't be as recognizable as some of the others in the league.

I wish they would've put Steve Nash on the cover of 2K6, or 2K7 seeing as how he won the MVP award the season before, twice.

Plus, the dude's path to the NBA is really interesting.

I don't mind Kobe on the cover but I think there were other players that deserve to be on the cover of the game instead. Kobe's been on a game cover before... Give someone else a turn... Like D-Wade, Dwight, Derrick Rose, etc.

well i totally think wade deserves more than anyone just like the mvp award, but he got on nba live in 2006 and kobe brought his team to the finals, so that means he's the given favorite(by 2k sports, not me).

Oh, my bad. I forgot Wade was on NBA Live 06. I don't follow that series. It's the worst of the bunch. I haven't played NBA Live since the 98 or 99 version?

2K Sports has been the best one... Especially since ESPN took over the series for a couple of years, but now they're backing NBA Live because EA is paying more money. But it's still a crap game.

I really would've liked to have seen Ron Artest on the cover with his Rockets hawk. With the theme being Redeem Yourself or something?
