Simply because you're being completely and utterly rude. You think they're "fags" well, I have a point for you, have you ever thought that, should you have something rude to say, that might offend others, to keep your mouth shut? A 25 year old, for all his pseudo-intellectual power, should have the brains in his head to actually realize that he's making a statement that is completely uncalled for.
Think of it this way: They sound like that on their CDs, meaning they actually sell THEMSELVES, as opposed to the other countries groups which use computers and recording to sell an optimized computerized version of themselves. That's why everyone thinks they're so good, because it's THEM. They aren't the best, but at least they aren't fake.

(To be honest, one of the only reasons I respect them is because they don't use technology, because if I bought a CD and he sounded amazing, then I saw them in concert and he sucked...
