  • can you add a water pump that makes bubbles to your tank after it is filled with water?

  • your water is going to evaporate quickly

  • You don't need that many air pumps, there is only so much dissolved oxygen that water can take in. You have plants too, they produce oxygen also. There is only 0.001% oxygen in water. So pretty much most of this air being pumped into the tank won't diffuse into the water. Other than that nice tank!

  • thats gonna stress the fish so bad .. they cant chill enywhere its all bubble hell

  • This causes the fish to have a.d.h.d. Then you have to put them on medication

  • to much air = algea ;)

  • yea bubbles are only good for an ornamental value. they do crap for the fish, and its hell trying to clean the cover of the fishtank where the water splashes up. use a waterfall to break the surface and make oxygen 'bubbles' the fish can really use.

but u never really mentioned what the bubbles were for.

so if its strictly for looks that you were going for kudos. it does look mighty nice!

  • @greatwhitemadness

Was just for looks. One day I would love to have all walls shooting bubbles, with led's behind them. But for a big tank I have that would take alot.

  • wow bubble over kill do you stil have your tank set up like that lol

  • @darkspawnclone

no this tank was 4 years ago. iv moved on to way bigger tanks.

  • my tinfoil barb died today

  • Comment removed

  • too much air creates algae.. as shown above.

  • microbubble diseases.

  • To get oxygen into the water u need to disturb/ brake the surface of the water where it meets the air. Air pumps are rubbish for oxyginating!

  • Why don't you ad some water to your air tank.

  • My check valve on the air tube isn't letting any air pass through it. What am I doing wrong?

  • @Obitatis blow on your check tube. What ever side you are able to blow thru it is the side you should place closes to the check tube

  • @Obitatis Turn it around. Or it is broke. Hopefully you got it working by now.

  • i have a wind turbine thingy in the tank. When i plug the host in, it rotates for a while but stops after a while. do you have any ideas to let it keep rotating?

  • why are their goldfish in theri

  • I second the notion that not ALL tropical fish need to be at 78 degrees, Every species has a low range and a high range temp. I keep my freshwater tropical tank aroung 72 degrees and sometimes a little colder. Lower temps keep your fish from growing to quickly and out growing the aquarium. Also if you keep freshwater inverts they prefer lower temps like snails, lobsters or clams. Hope this helps.

  • i have to agree on the Goldfish thing. Ive had a Goldfish in my Tank with Tinfoils, Tiger barbs, Platy`s, Cory`s, Red Eye Tetras, Mollies and a Black Ghost Knife for years and hes fine. Growing and quite happy. Although i wouldn't suggest a lot of Goldfish but thats nothing to do with temperature. its a waste thing. they are shitting machines!!!!

    nice tank.

  • Yes, the led is dangerous for the human eyes? Have you the answer for this question? Thanks. Vincenzo.

  • Hi, the led is dangerous for the eyes? Vincenzo

  • @Smetters2006

I think he means the light from the camera.

  • @VincenzoIanni1982

There is no led in that tank. A LED is a small lightbulb, as with any light if you stare directly into it ya it can harm u.

  • D: Plecos are tropical fish and goldfish are coldwater, they aren't compatible because of the different temperature ranges.

  • How long can minnows live? Thats cool that you have one in there.

  • u can have to many bubbles though they can irritate there gills just add surface movement to remove co², some bubbles are ok but this is a lil much and it can stress the fish out. unless ur above 9000ft oxygen shouldnt be a big concern for ur fish. proper filtration and lvls are more important.

  • What type of minnow is that?

  • the ones you get at the bait shop. prob flathead

  • @Smetters2006 actually fathead

  • @Smetters2006 dude bubbles dont do shit its the surface agitation from big bubbles that disperse o2. so all those little airstones are pointless.

  • I have a 20 gallon tank are 5 platies 5 sword tails and 5 ghost shrimp to much if so What number of these fish should I get of each?

  • @nosyiam

I think that would be a good stock. Just get a water conditioner and keep ur ammonia, nitrite and nitrates in check and ur tank should be fine for many years.

  • lol if ur fish get caught in that big bubble piece on the right theyll go flying across the tank

  • That's a lot of bubbles, kind of distracting. It takes your eyes off the movement of the fish. Are all those buble neccessary?

  • i like the colours in this tank , might try black gravel on my next tank

  • I have some bubble wands like that but the problem was that algae kept growing on it. This restricted the airflow to just a few bubbles here and there. I can't seem to keep the small algae film from growing in the pores of the bar.

  • its unavoidable, all you can really do it take it out until its 100% dry, scrape what u can off and put back in

  • If you are using a cannister filter then in the water outlet fix up a ultra violet light this will help in reducing algae, In my aquarium I fixed it after the algae has already grown on the side of my Tank & now those dead algae is difficult to wipe, But ultraviolet helps a lot in reducing unwanted bacterias, parasites & also Algae. Hope this will help you solve your problem.

  • i guess thats not an aquarium ..

thats a fish bubble bath with a lot of NOISE!! DUH

  • it makes the fish live longer in some words the more bubbles the better but make sure its not basicly all air

p.s. how many of the fish taste good lol

  • horrible tbh

  • What is a powerhead, what do they do, how are they used, and how does the tank benefit from using one?

  • it creates water movement.. a pump..

  • My goldfish love the bubbles too! My Sarasa comet goes up and down the bubble wall like it's a shower!

  • nice setup man. i'm def digging your bubble wand.

  • hey do these pump make alot of noise at night? my tank is in my bed room thats why im asking :-)

  • the pump itself is silent. The bubble wands are another story, THEY make noise!

  • a bubble wall would be so cool in my 8foot tank all down the back of it but i think it mite cost a bit and a lot of power???????

  • I dont know how big they make the wands,I may have seen a 4 footer. You would prob end up spending 50$ a pump x2 to get the air flowing good. Would be a awesome sight though

  • dont like the tank

  • ugly fish and tank

  • Esta d wbos tu acuario pro q peces mas jodidos hechale ganas kbron..

  • It would be nice if you could communicate without all the curse words. The other posters here are correct. It shows you don't know much about fish care. Mixing tropicals with goldfish is wrong. Not just the temperature factors but also that goldfish produce a slime. This slime can clog the gills of tropicals. Plus some fish don't like all the bubbles. It causes too much agitation and movement of water. Like you living in a tornado. My I suggest you visit a library for a good book.

  • ha ha ha, WOW

  • All fish make slime.

  • Im 24, but thanks, bodybuilder to. Im not aware of any hot water fish though. If you do a little research you will find the proper temperatures of all these fish, and at 76.5 degrees, they are ALL compatible. You think waters never get above 60 degrees in the wild? Your nuts.

  • amen

  • Hey! Take it easy, no need to get all pissed off at some person because they wanted to post a video like this. There is no point in getting angry, calm your self before you take it out on some one over youtube or the internet. RELAX.

  • cold fish deffinatley do not go with tropics i had 10 in my tank there all gone now.. there ugly,,, there noisey,,, there very very messy water is constantley ,,, fuked,,, smells,,,and it reuins the whole point of haveing a hot water tropical set up for these monsters 2 rewun it ,., no good ,, fuk it in the bin the toilet or the fryin pan but dont go all out on cold water fish, if u gona get into it full on then do tropics have a cleaner tank and lots of nice colour in there

  • we almost have the same tank lol check it out

  • wow, imagine the "My bubbles" Fish off nemo in here. He would go frikin' CRAZY! xD

  • LOL NatalieexBaybeeOx!!! u made my day! xD

  • Aww, glad i could be of service :D

  • lovely!

  • hehe all this arguing is funny i'm trying to cross-breed my 2 diffrent kinds of swordtail at the moment :)

i got a 112 gallon tank. not very big but i think its cool.

just pointing out that it's reccomended you put goldfish in a heated tank but it's not compulsery :)

  • actually most are against having a heated goldfish tank, hence they are cold/cool water fish. They do fine in a heated tank though

  • I hear ya, thanks man

  • Tinfoil barbs are cold-tolerant. Goldfish produce a lot of ammonia and nitrates, but with that much aeration it shouldn't be a problem.

    Plecos are damn near invincible.

This isn't how I would do it, but none of those fish look sick, stressed or malnourished, so it should be just fine.

  • Well they are all in a 180gallon now, so no worries They are all happy as can be

  • wat r those silver fish?

  • Tin Foils

  • How do you like the cascade 1000? I just installed one on my 30 gallon because I am planning on overstocking it a little. You had any problems with it?

  • I like it, had it running for about 3 years now and ZERO problems. Really a great canister filter.

  • a pleco at 75 gallons damn i wouldbnt buy no 75 gallon tank for a pelco haaha not to be all messed up

  • Actually, 75 gallons is the minimum tank size for a common pleco, they get rather large and live pretty long if you let them. n__n

  • Tropicals and cold water don't mix- as said. You've also overstocked the tank. The pleco needs at LEAST a 75 gallon to live happily, and you have too many godlfish.

  • please see my other vids in their NEW home.

  • man every body starts stuff abot how big ru tank is its your tank have it your way huh hahaha

this is what they say its too small

and we say its our tank ill have it howver right or any body gonna mark this as thumbs down or spam

  • You upgraded them to a 180gal? That

s better, but still not big enough. You'll need at least 200 gallons for all those fish.

  • Its not my final tank. All in all when things are done, perhaps a few years I shall build a 1200gal tank. Within a year they will be in possibly a 360 gal 8x3x2

  • Aw man, that sounds great!

  • he said he upgraded to a 180 but still read my other comments

  • good job on fucking up the fishes life. A shame 2 fish have to live a shitty short stressful life because you fail to their needs.

  • Some mouth ya got...¬_¬

  • I have heard that lots of bubbles can cause excessive CO2 build up due to the increased surface movement of the water. Might be good in a planted tank though

  • not only that those tiny tiny bubbles all over the place are called micro bubbles and the mess up the gills of the fish. on another note gold fish and tropical DON'T EVER go together gold fish produce about ten times the waste of tropical fish making the water more toxic than most tropical fish can handle. even though there are cases where fish survive the conditions of your tank, they are very stressed and proned to disease.

  • Any big fish produces ALOT of waste. I assure you my fish are far from stressed and have never ever had any kind of disease. P.S they are all in my kiddie pool now, check my newer vids.

  • Yeah but regardless of size goldfish produce more waste than other fish that are the same size. They also are coldwater fish and would prefer some 70 degree water. Oh and they are fuckin lame dude. Buy some cool fish

  • Aw look guys mommy let this guy on the computer unsupervised!

  • actually hes right on some things, goldfish and tropicals arent a very good mix, the fancier goldfish are less heat tolerant aswel which can cause swimbladder problems

  • also on that note the slime coating of goldfish is thiker than tropicals and if the goldfish passes ove another tropicals gilles it can go inside tha gilles and kill the tropical fish

  • 200 gallon next month son

  • you are still mixing tropicals with goldfish

  • goldfish can handle some tropical temps. Fish that require above 80 I wouldnt do.

  • in case you can't subtract you need another 125 gallones of water

  • in case you cant add thoes fish need abought 180 gallones good luck stupin =p

  • your tank shows how smart you are all three commens need 60 together the comet needs 20 gallons the red tail tin foils grow to 14 inches the minnow is no big deal the plecostomis need abought 25 gallones the calico fantail need 10 gallones so does the oranda and you are mixing goldfish (COLD WATER) and the pleco and tin foils (TROPICAL)together smart one

  • Why so much anger.. hes looking after his goldfish with LOVE AND CARE thats all that counts so CHILL!!!

  • Smetters ur tank is lush u rock

  • hay kid all in all of your coments u act like you now everything and are the best GOLDFish holder ever...ok u SUCK and heres some info 4 u gold fish suck to thats y they only sell them 4 28 cents at walmart.ok so stop acting like u no it all cuz u dont! and i think most of the watchers will agree with me!!!

  • I SHURE DONT DONT BE SO MEAN

  • no i dont agre and walmart is jenraly not the best place to get fish i have before but only once and he is still alive and if it is an adult goldfish it cost almost 30 dollers each and i know he acts like a know it all

  • do air pumps help with the filter

  • no in fact gold fish and bettas dont need airpumps

  • smetters i had a fish that eat ofter fish then one day it died and you could see a hole where a different fish ate it.

  • So another fish bite that fish, or did it have Hole in the head syndrome?

  • it was near the middle of it

  • sounds like hole in the head due to eating live fish

  • At 00:17, what kind of fish is that?

  • A Minnow I had for 2 years. He got old and gray like a old man, died and my pleco ate him!

  • Really, what kind of Minnow was it?

    Why did it died?

  • I think it was just the regular minnow you get at the bait shops. My brother was fishing with a few and I took 3 home to test. 1 died, 1 got eaten, and I think the one died from old age. He really did look like a old man before he died. He got gray, hunched back etc. Im sure he was happy while living though

  • I have heard that lots of bubbles can cause excessive CO2 build up due to the increased surface movement of the water. Might be good in a planted tank though

  • Iv never heard such a thing. Lot of bubbles will deplete the C02 in the planted tanks

  • I have 1 Black Moor, 1 Calico Fanail, 6 small common goldfish, and 1 small common pleco they don't bother each other, yes pleco may become territorial when they grow right?

What do you do so your pleco would be well fed and not bother your fish? I'll use the same method!

  • Room. My pleco guards half the tank during feeding time. Thats 13 fish he has to fend off. I hope you got a big tank. The pleco has his little driftwood lair so I stick a copper tube into it and drop the food down the pipe. I cant stop the other fish from eventually finding it, but he gets to eat and hits then when they get in his side of the tank.

  • Oh ok, those are very beautiful healthy fish and I hope you keep it up, one of my common goldfish have some white spots and his fins are getting redish, I can't find any disease like that but I suspect it really is Ich, because some of my fish flash to the tank but not all of them, I'm treating them with Melafix and Pimafix.....

  • u do no that ick is ..it looks like white mold/cotton and there IS treat ment for it that treats it right away

  • What treatments?

  • well gold fish and bettas dont even need air pumps

  • Nobody here has ich kid. bettas dont need lots of oxygen in the water but goldfish sure as hell do. MASSIVE amounts

  • How the hell do you manage to sell anything without a basic grasp of the English language and not a hint of people skills.

  • He was obviously lying.

  • NO GOLDFISH DONT NEED LOTS OF AIR

  • Uh goldfish need well aerated water. Do better research next time ok?

  • u no they dont i have 4 goldfish living in an overcrowded 10 gollon tank with no airater and i have an electrick filter and i know every thing abought gold fish i don't need your edvice ok =p

  • your lack of spelling shows how much you know. Your gold fish wont make it very long so good luck retard.

  • hay my fish are all 6 months old and stop acting like a know it all

  • by the way how does spelling tell how much i know i bet i am smarter than you and the oldest fish all most 7 months old and are from a fair so stop being stupid

  • 7 months is very young for a goldfish.

They live to be 20 years old, if you let them.

  • ok i already know that and that post was 7 months ago so they are all abought 14 months and i know a goldfish can esily live to 20 or 25

  • Ya he is my little buddy, has his tail chewed off and came back better than ever.

  • I love the little fat calico fantail goldfish, very nice big fish.

  • thats false, the reason for saying is the pleco eats the slim coating on the goldfish. Them being slow movers makes them a great target for the pleco. And salmon is a cold water fish

  • the reason for them saying that a pleco should not go with a goldfish is because a goldfish belongs in a cold water aquarium and a plec in a tropical.

  • As long as the pleco gets his algae and other foods he wont bother the fish. I keep mine well feed so he doesnt bother anyone. Hes over 10" now and only tries to bite (chases away) the other fish during feeding time when they get near his driftwood home.

  • wow i kept mine fed and it stil sucked the slime of the goldfish

  • where u feeding ur pleco just fish food? Plecos need potatoes, carrots, romain lettuce, apples, driftwood etc in their diet.

  • fed him lettyuce still it will suck the fish slime i like them stil but i cant keep them in my tank

  • some plecos are like that, so far mine is just normal and likes apples.

  • yea i kno the longest ive kept mine was for 6 years he was about eh 5 to6 inches but then died i couldnt afford abigger tank for him i kno ima bad fish keeper

  • lol it happens, thats why you should always research the fish you buy before hand. Its not nice when u have a 20 gal and buy a fish that gets 2-3 feet long.

  • i rdeaerch any pet that i want to buy all teh time al i have now is a blue mystery snail and a white calico fantail his buddy the oranda died well he got kiled by my fantail the fantail has killed two fish a betta and afantail por fantail he was gonna be one year with me

  • that sounds like a angry fish, how big is the tank that you have?

  • 45 but the tank looks empty with 1 fish and a snail i dont want to introduce more fish in the tank becasue they wil probably have adises that killes my only fish i have left

  • you could stick another goldfish in there, otherwise your pretty maxed out with those guys.

  • naw ill just stick whith what i have :)

  • one more would help ur little buddy out, they are social fish and need a buddy to hang with

  • im afraid he wil kill another one i put mosquito fish in thier (gambusia affins sum like that and he ate them :) haha i diddnt think they would of fit his mouth ill tryto look for another one that looks like him

  • Find one bigger than him, i dont see why your goldfish would be attacking other fish though

  • i wil do that as soon as i get my 50 bucks

  • In loads of websites it says '' Do not put a commen pleco with goldfish ''

do u have a problem with the pleco ? being in ur tank ?

  • It's a nice looking tank, and the use of all that air is interesting and fun to watch.

The only problem I had with your video is the banging sound.

You have something making a banging sound as it draws or pushes air into the tank.

You got to track down that banging and see what you can do to get it to calm down.

  • too much , youst lower the power of the bubbles it weel be better

  • I was think of setting up my 30 gallon tank with goldfish. But my present tank stays at 82F and I read goldfish must have temp. below 72F is this true? Will lots of areation compensate for heat?

  • my tanks at 75 winter and 80 summer. I beleive anything over 80 is pushing it, ya warmer water needs more surface agitation for oxygen

  • very oxyginated water is good for fish....good job
