I guess the Madera Walmart is losing another manager. They put the current one on leave and he hasn't come back yet. The old managers girlfriend is running the show from what I hear.

The manager doesn't work the register because that's not what they are paid to do. That's not their job. Their job is to manage the store, not work he cash register. None the less, I really enjoy your videos.

To begin with, shopping at walmart is a huge FAIL! quit supporting the mega corps to save a few bucks. Second you get what you deserve for shopping there. Third, go shop at some local store and support small bussiness.
Madera Walmart sucks I got to see a customer argue with one of the workers this week because she was being so rude. If you ask me many of walmart employers need to be replaced better customer service is what we need

@liliodine I think the reason he was harassed (and this is indicated by the fact it was a loss prevention manager confronting him) is that Walmart is worried people might be casing their checkout lines looking for weaknesses in their anti shoplifting tactics or even casing them for the best success in armed robberies- where and when cashiers drop large bundles of bills, what angles Walmart's cameras are at so you can avoid them if you hit the store later.
@batvette Hell if they want to rob Walmart just hit the cash cage behind the customer service desk. It would be easy to grab a manager and make him open the door to hundreds of thousands of dollars ripe for the taking. Why would you hit the registers that might only have a couple hundred bucks? Would probably only take five people. One to grab the manager, two to take out the customer service desk, one to distract the register folks and a get a way driver.
@MaderaGuy good points but we're talking the criminal mind here, I think statistically most robberies of similar circmstances will see multiple perps run in the front door, put the guns to the cashiers and make them empty the drawers including what's under the insert. I was merely pointing out one of the numerous plausible rationales they might have for prohibiting video recording- some more legit than others. That would be a legit one to me. The complaint about lack of cashiers was valid tho.
@batvette When I was 6 years old at walmart with me grandma, they had police detained us because they said there cameras saw us stealing. Cops check us an we had nothing butwe still go banned from the store. Walmart does not do anything for a reason.
i was shopping at Kohls tonight and there was one register open and a few people in line, within seconds more cashiers came to the front and more registers were opened. i was last in line and the manager said to me "went from last to next in line, how's that". i thought this was the coolest thing ever.

An update from the Madera Walmart, the loss prevention manger was moved out of Madera after this video. The manager of the store was promoted to a larger store in Fresno and the bully manager went out of his way to help me on Black Friday. Looks like the video did some good for all concerned. Oh did I forget to mention that after this video You Tube started paying me to produce videos?

On one hand, an argument could be made that yes, there are "bigger fish to fry" as aamindt said, but seriously - he was standing in line for 25 freaking minutes! What else is he gonna do? Walmart treats their employees like shit and their customers even worse, so ya know what MaderaGuy, go get 'em! I've always known the Madera Walmart to be particularly infuriating, and the way that a-hole responded to the situation was completely unprofessional.

OMG finaly someone has stepped up and said something about the line and mngmnt. And they just showed how they really are behind the silk screen that they have made. WalMart has gotten worse over the years....and they will not be getting better anytime soon. Maybe if they would hire more cashiers and better mngmnt it wouldn't be such an unpleasant place to shop. And they need to treat their empoyee's better, maybe then people wouldn't quit or look like they are miserable all the time.

A little update on the video incident. I spoke with the manager of the store this morning. He wasunderstandably not happy about the recording of the video in his store but did appologize for the behavior of the managers. He agreed that managers should when possible open a register to help get customers through the check out lines when its crowded. I have a lot of faith in this guy, he is a good manager. I'm sure we will see some changes. Also I am welcome back anytime.
