lol so you know i plan on enlisting fairly soon, and im just curious does anyone know how they do job placement?some one told me they choose your job for you and i dont wanna end up packing parachutes:)any help would be cool thanks
when you enlist, you choose acouple of potential jobs, and then they choose out of those depending upon avalability and the needs of the Air Force. at least thats what the recruiter told me
take it from someone who's been through basic. It's tough but in the long run it's actually kind of fun. Aside from the whole getting yelled at for not keeping your hands pinned to your sides.
CONGRATULATIONS! Wondering where you are now. My son graduated BMT in Nov. `06. That weekend is something I will always remeber as long as I live. Good Luck ! R. Hyden
I was just looking through on you tube and saw this clip. I don't know if you remember, but I was the guys dorm chief, A1C Keil Miller. I looking for video from our graduation and came accross yours. Hope all is well and you are enjoying the Air Force just as much as I am!
Congratulations Brianna...Can anyone tell me what a typical day is like in BMT?? Can you call home or write letters? Do you get one day off in the entire 6.5 weeks? Just wondering. Thanks so much
I got to call 3 times the whole time I was there and we only got one night to write letters. Each TI is different so if you don't piss your's off you get more time to write or to call on the patio's.
Those 6.5 weeks seemed like months because you can't do anything you are used to, they run your life 24/7.
But it's all good tech school is a little more laid back you still have curfews and rules til phase 3 when you are mostly free except for school nights.
Yeah like 1Q says it depends on your TI, you don't get much time to eat so eat fast as possible, you get more time later on in training, always fun as a 6th weeker watching the new kids come in. As for having a day off, never hahaha they run you till you drop 24/7. Are you leaving anytime soon or just thinking about it?
Congrats Airman! I ship out to BMT November 27th. Where i'll then be crossing into the blue and graduating. Good Luck in all that you do. May God bless you.
Great video & congrats Brianna ! This brought back many fond memories for me. I graduated USAF basic training in October 1975 and it seems as if the routine hasn't changed one bit. Good luck to you and fly high & proud !!!
Congratulations, Brianna! I wish you the best of luck in what you do in the Air Force. I will soon be crossing into the blue myself. I ship out for BMT October 2.
i was there in 1974.....then sent to norton A.F.B...
