  • I love this accurate portrayal of the original Frankenstein novel. In the original novel I feel pity for the creation, it's stupid that movies since have turned him into a shuffling, moaning, killing machine instead of the complex and misunderstood character that he was. One interesting difference between this and the novel however, in the novel the creation compares himself to Adam from Paradise Lost. The Bible was probably used here because more people would understand the reference.

  • Talk about irony. In this role, Robert Powell denies he's God, but played Him in another role; "Jesus of Nazareth".

  • not ugly enough

  • wow....i have never seen or heard of this version before.thanks for posting.

  • Amazing David Warner is one of the most underrated British actors ever and this portrayal is amongst his finest screen work. An official DVD release is a must!

  • The monster must have seen the movie.

  • Warner's portrayal of the monster was truly heartbreaking.

  • I absolutely agree with you.

  • actually the most accurate is the 2004 version. its almost the same as the book and the creature is exactly like the one in the book instead of being some stupid monster.

  • hey I know this is old, but if you can, message me I am looking for a certain version of the movie Frankenstein

  • The creature looks a bit like Ralph Fiennes, and his voice is nearly a perfect match to Ralph's in The English Patient.

  • most of these types are from englend

  • poor little boy he was confused on god and father...if that was my little creature i would love him lik a son and care and hold him 2 raise him right poor little boy

    ...its not his flaut

  • When I read the book I did picture the monster looking like that.

  • This movie is the most acurate to the book. Frankenstein by MAry Shelly

  • I'm sorry, but I must correct you. Kenneth Branagh's '94 version is truer to the book. I can't say it's the most accurate, not having seen every version that's been made, but I can say that while I actually prefer this adaptation (with Warner and Powell), it's not as accurate as Branagh's.

  • Frankenstein is the doctor. the Monster meets his creator: Dr. Frankenstein. Reaslly all the postures should have depicted the Doctor not the onster, it has caused huge confusion over the name ever since its inception.

Looking at Powell he should have been cast for the life story of Peter Cushing. Quite a resemblance.

  • You mean the creature meets his creator?

  • This version is so diffrent, David Warner is great :D
