  • ONE DAY, one day, and I hope I'm alive to see it...the beginnings of a free global society from sickening lies will take a stand. I believe that logic will eventually wipe out the faith of those so scared to admit that they too are under the laws of nature. We ALL are bound by the truth. NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU SCREAM AGAINST IT. Set your watch, and count the days. Time itself will free those oppressed, as well as those of us who cannot stand the madness.

  • THESE IDIOTS WILL FAIL IN THEIR ULTIMATE GOAL. Their movement is based on something they cannot prove to be truth. Lies will fail. The truth will overcome. Let's push against this madness.

  • It's called a rim-job and heterosexuals do it also! If Jesus had a rim-job he would be yelling " Oh my dad! that feels so fucking good! " true story! lol

  • Evangelical Christians are such fucking idiots! Unbelievable! Why can't we just live and let live?

  • Maybe the catholic church focuses on homosexuality to take the focus away from pediphilla. Because so many people believe them tp be one in the same. In other words people believe when are addressing homosexuality they are also addressing pediphilla.

  • So informative! Why can't we as a civilized people get rid of the ancient goat herder myths and work together to create a healthy environment for our species? When will we accept religion for what it is? (our first attempt to, as a species to describe our existence). When will we embrace science and ideas for the betterment of our species?

It saddens me to see so many people that have such a need to hold on to bad ideas from bad programming since birth!

  • The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, perhaps the most iconic work of art in the Christian faith was painted by Michelangelo whom many historians believe was bisexual. Can you say "irony"?

  • Let me understand this......the Catholic church condemns gay people yet it's ok for catholic priests to butt-fuck little boys????

  • Abstinence ....makes the church grow fondlers.....

  • The white evangelical that is running around saying that Hitler's inner circle including Hitler was gay is actually an in the closet gay himself.

  • priests aren't gay, they're pedophile.

  • the idea that 'these are better christians' stated by that so called man of god is disgusting and frightening; if the secularists in last 300 years of the west had not forced religions--mainly christian--to back off and moderate their behavior we would have murders done in religion's name today. shameful abhorrent belief and behavior if there was a god i would hate it

  • Someone needs to put those fuckers back in the trees, I'm guessing they came down just a bit too early.

  • The pope CANT BLOCK UN resolutions,he can stand up to them but he cant veto them.

The gay catholic said the vatican OPPOSED , NOT BLOCKED the resolution.

The article at 3:14 talks about church standing up to ABORTION and it has nothing to do with homosexuality. The pope might have said something remotely connected with what he has been accused off but i would like to see what has he said exactly...

information on this video are like information north Koreans get about Americans... pile of lies

  • 20-50% may be gay

i stopped listening to this right here

  • @niinja2

It's always wise to plug your ears when confronted with information that conflicts with your presuppositions. Good job.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

    50%!!!!

its wise not to poison your mind with crap that has no evidendce

proof or it did not happen.

  • @niinja2

That is not my statistic. However, if the Catholic Church would be forthcoming instead of denying and covering up every instance of homosexuality, then we might have a much better idea. It's kind of hard to find evidence when the Church is applying their expansive resources to suppressing it. But whatever the percentage of homosexuality might be, there is no denying pedophilia is an epidemic within the Catholic church, gay or otherwise. Don't take my word for it -- read the news paper.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

if the church is using its "vast resources" to supress data about homosexuality within the church how did the maker of this video come to this percentage in the first place?

i dont care who's statistic is it, the 50% is a ludicrous number and its probably made up, especially when no one is citing the data where it supposedly came from.

im not going to go to debate about pedophilia since it has nothing to do with homosexuality.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

priests that are found to be gay are excommunicated i think, from their vocations/jobs, around 1% of general population is gay, in church it will be even less.

the numbers are made up just like the Noas Ark. Maybe you should be more of a "critical thinker" and should not absorb stuff that supports your presuppositions without any evidence. Especially when you say its impossible to get this evidence because of the church "suppressing it"

    bad job.

  • @niinja2

That's why the percentage ranged so greatly. No one said it was definitely 50% -- it is estimated between 20-50%. The Catholic Church is a safe haven for pedophiles, and a majority of the molestation that goes on has been b/w men and boys. I am not saying there is a correlation b/w homosexuality and pedophilia, there isn't. There are just as many, or even more, pedophiles that are straight. But the facts are the facts. Gay pedophiles flock to the Church and receive shelter by the Pope.

  • @DR

Pedophilia does not cause straight men to start liking boys or gay men to start liking girls. The gay and straight keep to their gender preferences. But the irony is that homosexual men who want a legitimate relationship with CONSENTING partners are denied this right, while pedophiles are allowed to do their evil deeds without penalty. In fact, if and when they're caught the Church leaders just shuffle them around to another community to inflict their evil on fresh batch of victims.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

If the Vatican would just accept homosexual marriages and allow it's priests to get married, then it might help to curb whatever is causing the plague of pedophilia within the Church. However, the Church doesn't care, they hide all of this and even allow it to happen. But you're programmed to defend your religion at whatever cost. So, who cares about any of this right? Screw gay rights and screw the kids, literally!

  • @DiscoveringReligion

i asked for evidence of these numbers and you just keep repeating them as if they were true.

well ... prove it... and answer this question

How is it that number of homosexuals within the church is 20-50%, if average number of homosexuals within society is 1% and on top of that church excommunicates homosexuals priests? It does not make sense

And secondly do you think that pedophiles on purpose go to church so they can molest children?

  • @niinja2

I've read the gay population is anywhere from 3-5%, and that's just the people who admit it; there could be many, many more. Whether the Church attracts pedophiles or something happens once priests join that cause them to become pedophiles is something upon which I cannot speculate. Whatever the reason, the Church is teaming with them and the Pope protects them. These pedophile priests aren't being excommunicated, they're shuffled around to other perishes so they can start it all over.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

The number of openly gay priests is very, very small. Why? Because they think it's a sin. They will not admit to it, so how the hell do you expect to get an accurate percentage? And again, that statistic was not my own. You'll have to consult the sources of "Penn and Teller: Bullshit", but I've never found them to spread misinformation. Whatever the case may be, there is no denying the Church gives protection to pedophiles -- it does not excommunicate them, which it should!

  • @DiscoveringReligion

"the Church is teaming with them"

so its a conspiracy to molest children?

"so how the hell do you expect to get an accurate percentage"

how the hell do you expect to get 10 times higher then average percentage when you yourself said they will not admit they are gay? I mean how do you get this information except to ask the priest themselves? I mean do you have a gay scanner through which you obtain this number?

  • @niinja2

"so its a conspiracy to molest children?" It sure appears that way. Why won't the Church come clean? Why do they block police investigations? Why decade after decade are adults coming forward with allegations of molestation? These priests have unlimited access to children, and in such cases as orphanages the children cannot even run and tell anyone. In fact, the children are told they will go to Hell if they speak up. It's a well-documented fact. Go read the investigations.

  • @DR

It certainly makes sense for someone struggling with their sexuality to seek the Church. The fact one cannot change their sexuality, that priests are forced to repress ANY sexual urges (gay or otherwise), and they have unlimited access to children, creates a perfect storm of pedophilia. The Church has been a safe haven for this kind of activity for centuries, if not milenia. It's only logical to expect the Church to be highly concentrated with them, more so than the average population.

  • @niinja2

I am not making anything up. Go read the investigations for yourself. Homosexuality is not the same thing as pedophilia, you are trying to create a strawman. I neither said that nor did I imply it.

  • Kills Ignorant people. That means loads of Christians would die as well.

  • wow! deeply saddened person here. =(

  • when did gay people fight for gay rights.fuck all that gay shit

  • Like I needed another reason to hate the pope. I already think he is a vile, pathetic, sadistic piece of shit, and a worthless excuse for a human being. Why is he given any power in the UN? WTF were they thinking?

  • ok Ive heard enough. you motherfuckers need to be sucked up in your rapture and leave innocent people alone. Im usually not disrespectful like this but i think its inhuman to believe that people should be put to death because their beliefs are contrary to yours. your false religion uses the less intelligent and in some cases the mentally ill drawing them in and making them believe your sick and twisted ways. christians will meet their end times and i cant wait until it happens.

  • Why the fuck does the pope have anything to do with the UN.....?!?!?!? That is scary......

  • Using P&T Bullshit! clips = Respect.

  • discusting behavior man towards its own kind, homsexual is not only human some animals are engaging in homsexual behaviot too

  • @eastsidemuu making the distinction between harming another and not harming another is 'what stops you'.

child molestors are harming innocents, gay people are just fucking each other.

  • @eastsidemuu

One word, "consent". Two men or two women can give one another consent to have sex. However, a dead body, an animal, or a young child cannot give consent for sex, therefore the sex is illegal. It is interesting that you, being a Muslim, should speak out against child molestation. Muhammad was engaged to Aisha at the age of 6 and they had sex when she was 9, well before her first mensuration. If that is not child molestation, then what is?

  • i dont beleve an indidvidual should attack a man or a woman for being Gay!.. BUT being GAy is wrong and should not EVER be promoted.. and if you do that evel act you should do it in privet never in the open!

  • another (not literal) interpretation, 'detestable' could be meant as 'unnatural' in the sense that it can not result in procreation of our species. 'they must be put to death, their blood will be on their own heads.'

could this possible just mean that 'death' = the end of their lineage, and 'blood on their own heads' meaning simply their bloodline, and the fact that without procreation they will simply just stop existing after their own deaths?

    another far stretch of interpretation...

  • Nazi was a gay movement? WTF is that guy smoking? Nazis killed and imprisoned gays and lesbians. Saying Nazism was a gay movement is just as wrong as saying it was a pro-Jewish movement...

  • pretty sure i kind of want to choke scott lively to death. what a sick, twisted, vile, disgusting and pathetic excuse for a human being.

  • Thank you for putting the time into making these videos, as frightening as the context may be.

It's terrifying to know how easily the civilized world can fall back into the dark ages simply through the ignorance of its own citizens

  • This is part of the reason why we must abolish goddamn religions!

  • I have seen a good bit of disturbing stuff in my life, but honestly, I think this episode is the worst BY FAR in terms of things that make me sick.

  • Scott is sickening

  • "you can not make comments out of ignorance"

clearly someone missed the last 18 episodes! haha religion fail

  • I'm no fundamentalist, but I don't think you're representing Jesus very well, and are cherry picking his words to drive your points home.

Points that stand on their own anyway.

  • @DannyPhantomBeast

his picking verses that are related with the topic, and if the bible wasn't as contradictory and un-supported by facts, AS IT IS, there wouldn't be lines to pick

  • Jesus quotes the scriptures, but undermines their authority depending on the situation.

He appeals more to underlying principles behind the laws.

He defended the guy carrying his things on the Sabbath, the woman who was going to be stoned to death, made ADDITIONS to the law, in Mark 7 he spoke against the Pharisees who were giving he and his pals flack for not washing their hands directly before eating.

He appealed to the laws, reinterpreted them, and undermined them depending on his audience.

  • @DannyPhantomBeast

in some verses you will see that, but in others you won't

the bible wasn't written by direct inspiration of god, was written by different men, with different ways of thinking, with different culture, and different intentions, and it's demostrated in the contradictory scriptures you will find all over the bible, and it's supported by the ignorant and blind people that's still following an ancient and obsolete mythology

  • @opethgarzaMD I'm fully aware... What you said and what I said aren't mutually exclusive.

I still don't buy his assertions about Jesus.

Slam the Bible all you want as a COLLECTION of books that can't be taken as a cohesive whole.

  • @DannyPhantomBeast

he's not approaching the entire idea of Jesus, his making a point by indicating specific verses from the bible that speak about what he wants to express, because it's impossible to cite the entire bible and it's also a waste of time

each person is free to make his own idea of everything, but what was adressed in this documentary is a fact, maybe it doesn't include all the "biblical facts" that you want, but it is based on facts, on the contrary of biblical texts

  • id fight to the last round of ammo to defend my self from anyone who things who I have sex with is a sin, to paraphrase what chuck heston said *holds up a rifle & copy of a gay porn magazine.* FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS! DO YOU HEAR ME FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS!!!!

  • and of course, he admits, that people who kill other people for not living their lives as they do, are the BETTER christians. is he a member of westboro, or do you got even more fucktard groups like that over in the states?!

  • "christian civilisation"... everything that is worth being called civilized started with people freeing their minds from dogma. starting in the renaissance and then skyrocketing since the age of enlightenment.

  • he said, that one has to know what other people do in private. and consensual. jep, that pretty much sums up the mindset you need for becoming a religious moral crusader.

  • Fucking Nazis. He is the Nazi

  • its so pathetic how willing people are to play with other people lives. whether they use the gun themselves or spread the hate like that. like other people are nothing, humans are pathetic. seriously humans are messed the fuck up. we all bleed we all die, and when we die we are all equal. no one is ahead.

  • The Kinsey Syndrome - Father of the Sexual Revolution Examined watch?v=xUMCDLkySJI

  • Why are some people so eager to swallow the BS that American Evangelists feed them? It's disgusting.

  • This addresses too many issues, lumping them all together without developing any of them honestly. Separation of church and state, different interpretations of Christianity, etc. I could create a straw man out of atheism, pointing out that all atheist nations were extremely genocidal or repressive. But there is hypocrisy among Christians which must be adequately addressed before attempting to answer others. Glory to Jesus. You're right that all Christians are massive sinners- that's agreed.

  • @shatterknee If you watch the videos leading up to this one it explains most of what you just stated. As for atheist nations being "extremely genocidal or repressive" that is simply not true. You can look up the statistics and find that countries that lead more towards atheism have less crime, less genocide and are WAY WAY less repressive than even our so called "Christian Nation."

  • This just made me think of something . You know how when you have a wedding at a church and the preacher dude sais " you may now kiss the bride " . That supposta mean for the first time . How many christians abide by that today .

  • Clint Mansell and Cafe Del Mar... Oh, yeah! Great music!

  • I don't know about other Christians, but they give us a bad name. The bible told us to love everyone as a fellow being, not the sin. I love gay people and that doesn't necessarily mean I am a betrayer to my religion if it is said in the bible to love all, even the non believers.

  • @IxI250 Christians today don't go by the bible word for word. If they did it would be exactly how it is in theistic muslim countries. Christians in America follow secular "beliefs" and secular laws. Whether any of them want to admit it, there really are no "true" Christians unless you count the fundamentalists who actually do follow ALL of the teachings of the bible, except for the peace love and unity stuff obviously. The contradictions would rip them in half if they did.

  • Between 5,000 and 15,000 homosexuals of German nationality are estimated to have been sent to concentration camps in WWII, yet people still believe the "Hilter Gay myth"

  • its killing the spirit. Spirit of anger, etc

  • Yeah the people in Uganda definitely don't want what happened in the States! Easy access to medicine, food, and drinkable water is much less important than killing gay people. Fuck that guy he is a crazy fucking asshole. Oh and on the gay agenda, a protest sign in a previous Discovering Religion video put it best:

    The Gay Agenda

    1. Equality.

    2. See item 1.

Now stop projecting your insecurities, biases, and hatred towards good and ordinary people who just want basic constitutional rights. Fuck.

  • Whoa whoa whoa, hold up. The Pope can block UN resolutions? What in the FUCK?

  • @jtshibbyy he did it WITH DA POWAH OF GUD

  • killing witches and newagers don't sound that bad

  • oh, that is the "eat da poo-poo" guy!

i can not and will not trust an adult that uses the word poo-poo in any attempted "civilized conversation"

  • Why are they blowing the Jewish horn??

  • The answer is Forty Two.

  • ahh there it is. the requiem of a dream soundtrack.I was wondering if he was gonna play it.

I cant believe that he made all these by himself.amazing

  • They are better Christians in Uganda because not only do they want to kill people they disagree with, they will really kill them !

  • Just watching this shows me that christains are some of the most evil people on earth. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • @dawnbringerSO That is the most disgusting, biased, and ignorant response I have ever heard. His video focuses on the Mosiac death penalties for offenses against God. It could be simply refuted by concluding that since God pardoned all our sins through the blood of Christ and that includes the offenses listed is why christians wouldn't conform to Mosiac death penalties anymore. In the old testament, Yaweh wanted a worshipper community that could live up to the boundaries and laws He set.

  • @MrWadie123 In the New Testament God however, showed His true forgiving side by sending Himself as the Son and dying for us to pardon all of our sins. Sins being affronts against the Almighty, and since all of the things listed are sins, we are forgiven, and the argument is void. All one has to do is believe or meet their punishment in the next world/

  • @MrWadie123 Ivy Shoot's response on Yeshua/Jesus "enforcing" the commandment should explain the rest.

  • @MrWadie123 Are you stupid? Just look at what those people from america did, and how that country responded. They made a LAW stating that homosexuality would result in the DEATH penalty. And millions of christians in the US would agree with what they are doing. That is one of the most vile, evil things you can do. Killing people because of their sexuality is wrong and evil. And if you can't see that you are an ignorant fool and a prick, and you make me sick.

  • @dawnbringerSO I see that clearly, but these people are closed-minded fanatics who don't know a thing about mercy or Christ's love and the way you had worded it was crap, you said christians, referring to ALL of us for what they had done. You're basically saying we are all evil and if I was to make such a negative generalization about athiests I would be met with the same venom I could be giving you. I have a sense of morality and believe in God's mercy which He showed on a cross. Thank You.

  • @MrWadie123 And mind you I same *some* of the most evil. There are lots of christians who wouldn't dream of doing that, but there are lots who would. In any case, religion is inherently Evil and a poison to the mind, and any claim otherwise is ignorant.

  • @dawnbringerSO I know you mentioned "some" but it was just not in the right place, you implied christians, as in general; a whole, are some of the most evil people in the world. You may not have meant that but that's how it came across the moment I had read that. Whatever you say on the last I don't want to keep debating all day. :/

  • <3 penn and teller

  • Firstly, the Nazi killed anyone who were not STRAIGHT and WHITE. Secondly, who would kill another person for their sexual orientation? Last time i check they cannot make babies. Lastly, isn't 98% of sex offenders straight?

  • Comment removed

  • @AndrusPr8 what country do you live in? i think i might move there :p

  • I'm so happy to live in my third world country where religion is never a factor in defining laws, where no kind of religion is taught in public schools, where gay marriage has been allowed, along with the right of having the identity you want to have (despite whatever your chromosomes says), and where there's public and free healthcare and education (including university). Why is only economy defining what is a first world country and a third world country?

  • if i am going to start a genocide then i'll wipe out every christians and muslims.

  • great video..thanks

  • I'd be killed 100x over based on the first 4 minutes of this video. O_o

  • Sorry, you grossly misconstrue Mark 7 at 1:42 by calling it "Christ's proclamation of death to those that would curse their parents." He was actually pointing out the hypocrisy of the Pharisees for pretending to follow that law while encouraging people to donate to the temple rather than feed their needy parents. Jesus wasn't saying the law was just; he was saying the law enforcers were transgressing it themselves -- an early example of the "kill yourself" meme. ; )

  • This series is great, but it's so frustrating and sad to actually see all the injustice and religious stupidity. But it will hopefully open the eyes of some christians and other believers.

  • did i get it well? this guy showed two girls and a cup to people in africa, while whorshiping??? wtf thats insane

  • I do believe this series was made by a gay black man - don't read too much into that tough.

  • Awesome, anti-gay extremists have "extreme gay sex footage"!?!

We now know what these hypocritical low lives do in their free/down time...

    Genius, pure genius!

  • 1$7 WWJD? Since the Bible is the literal Word of God I guess he would kill the children!

2:57 Would a law for capital Punishment for homosexuality as the Pope would like also bring about the execution of the pedophile priests who were also gay? :-)!

3:29 That 81 countries includes CHRISTIAN countries too!

    4:58 ABSOLUTELY!

8:57 "Cus the Bible told them so.

  • Martin Sempa- "you cannot make comments out of ignorance" ........really? you've got to be kidding me.

  • This is almost unbelievable.

  • Love your series!.......each video makes me happier and happier i'm an Atheist:)

  • I know some christians who say theyre all pure then go and wanna have sex and drink and stuff. And they bash MY scientific beliefs and force theirs (that they dont even follow ) on ME.

  • @missfrozenmocha Most people don't understand the value of commitment. It's easier to say then it is to do. Most Christians I know give examples rather then be an example sorta say. I guess in a sense we are all aware of the sensitivity in this hot spot discussion and are quick to become offended. Personally, we are all human beings so instead of thinking badly about Christianity just realize it's the person that is oppressing you not the religion.

  • The Big Bang is my beliefs.

  • "you cannot make comments out of ignorance...." and goes on making comments out of ignorance :/

  • @lildertygangsta

No thanks, I don't have daddy issues. =)

  • @DiscoveringReligion but this video and description does however, have issues. One, given that the penalty for sin is death, and that's the whole motive behind animal and Jesus' sacrifice, which had atoned all sins including the offenses listed. Two, given that sin deserves death and Hell fire but was forgiven by a final sacrifice for ALL offenses against God, it stands to reason that while He may not have stopped all the Mosiac laws He sure abolished death penalty and fire burn...

  • @MrWadie123

I can tell you right now, without even referencing the Bible, your statements are false. God cursed humankind with corruption and death for Adam's sin. Now, Jesus is called the "second Adam" who "takes away the sin of the world". But if Jesus truly abolished the penalty of death for sin, then why do human beings continue to die? Why does God continue to enforce His curse of death if we've been truly forgiven? Furthermore, the Bible never claims Jesus abolished "capital punishment".

  • @DiscoveringReligion You are right in saying that sin still exists and ergo death still does as a result. But abolishing sin's effects and redeming it are indeed, as stated before, two very different things, we are all sinners but Christ simply died to FORGIVE us for our sins which deserve death and Hell, not abolish death and Hell itself. You nor anyone else can go through go one day without commiting at least one moral vice but you can be forgiven for them and spared from Hell by Christ.

  • @DiscoveringReligion Continuing from where I left off, typo on redeeming, and I'm very sure you've heard that cliche and laughed at it many times, but I am, theologically, correct. You say that the Bible never makes such a claim, but we just have to put two and two together to arrive at such a conclusion. Since God's Son was the final and perfect sacrifice for the forgiveness of ALL sin, Christians don't conform to OT death sentences on that basis of already being forgiven by faith in Christ.

  • @MrWadie123

Its easy to be a sinner when everything's a sin. Jesus condemned us as adulterers should we lust and as murderers should we hate. But if thats not enough, we are considered sinners from the moment we are born! The Bible claims Jesus literally became the "second Adam". So why are we still being punished for ADAM's sin? Babies born with Down Syndrome never even have a CHANCE to sin! Why cant God let us go free, to commit our OWN sins, instead of being cursed from birth?

  • @DiscoveringReligion We wouldn't have sin in our nature if Adam hadn't sinned, so the notion of commiting our own sins is quite impossible, think of it as a generational birth defect, it's not fair we are cursed with it as a result of our parent''s genes or in this case mistake, but because Adam and Eve spoiled themselves, as the biblical parents of humanity we are born with it as if a hereditary trait, God already "let us free" by forgiving us of our sin should we believe in Him, and I believe.

  • @MrWadie123

Please, lets pick one thread to respond to each other. Original sin is not the same as an inherited defect, its a PUNISHMENT imposed upon us by God. Adam sinned and was punished. Therefore, its more like we have committed a crime and as punishment our arms and legs have been shacked; however, even though we have been "pardoned through Christ" God still refuses to unshackle us! Babies with Down Syndrome are still paying for Adam's curse of corruption! God could fix this, but doesnt.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

Instead of relieving His innocent creations of unwarranted suffering in the form of birth defects, God instead tells us to "have faith" and "believe". What?! So its one big test to see who has more blind faith? Even though you're child is suffering with Down Syndrome, if you have enough faith, when the child dies it goes to heaven. This is the God you believe in? What evidence do you have what you're saying is true? A mere book?

  • @DiscoveringReligion I am Mr. Wadie 123 with a different account, and I respond saying that Sin is not a punishment imposed by God, but a direct result of Adam and Eve disobeying God by eating the forbidden fruit, that in itself was the first sin and the birth of sin, they spoiled themselves with this curse that stopped their mortality as God has warned, hardships were the punishment of God, He could chose to take away the curse but humans would corrupt themselves again due to free will.

  • God could remove their sin completely and start a new eden, but given that humans have a choice to obey God and stay sinless or perish sinfully one of them is naturally going to abuse that choice, and cause sin to enter in again, I know this seems to contradict my statement that commiting one's own sins is impossible without Adam, but sin was and orginated from the disobeying of God's command, if sin dies all one has to do is disobey God's commandments to get into our nature again.

  • @MrEmadshalabi People truly wouldn't have sin in their nature if Adam and Eve had not sinned, they have freedom of choice, to obey or disobey God and put Sin back into their lives, but there would be no vice in humanity if Adam and Eve chose "right" over "wrong" in the first place.

  • @MrEmadshalabi I am very sorry for your children if that is the case with them.

  • @MrWadie12

Please try to stay focused. Original sin was NOT the punishment, it was the crime. Adam committed the crime of original sin and his punishment was the curse of death/corruption, imposed on us by God. I am not saying life should exist without sin, but innocent babies who never even have the CHANCE to sin should not be affected by such horrible birth defects if Jesus has truly redeemed us. God never gives those innocent babies a chance. God is either helpless or cruel and petty.

  • @DiscoveringReligion I NEVER claimed it was, you had, saying that sin was not a birth defect but "a punishment imposed on us by God," and if anything I tried to get your first sentence across to YOU. I understand sin as a crime against God's commandment and that the hardships that God gave us such as death were punishments. We're hopefully on the same page now. To answer your question God can not be helpless as He is Omnipotent. To take away those hardships from anyone and still give them...

  • @MrEmadshalabi continuing from were I had left off, to sin when they grow up and then suddenly hitting them when they do cause a moral vice which is inevitable would just seem cruel on God's part, He let the babies be immoral and without blemish but suddenly makes them miserable and cuts of their mortality anyway, and at what age would they be when they sin; commit a lie for example; as soon as they can express emotion through speech they are condemned. That would be whined over and over by...

  • @MrEmadshalabi Athiests if that were the case, it wouldn't be so fair of Him either, or sensible, be thankful that His is not "cruel" enough to leave you in your sins, he gave you the option to repent and be rid of sin and defect in heaven and I know God is not cruel to let babies in there. I stand up for Him because He is truly good and merciful despite how you paint Him, I may not know what happens to babies who haven't heard the faith, but I know God has done what is right.

  • @MrEmadshalabi Oy I see a huge typo, I had meant that God was not cruel enough to make the babies go there, as in Hell, but I forgot to include that, THAT WAS NO PART OF MY ACTUAL REASONING what-so-ever.

  • @MrEmadshalabi I did not mean to say God wouldn't be cruel enough to let babies in heaven, rather Hell, do not hold that error as part of my debate.

  • @MrEmadshalabi

I am sorry, I must have misread you. I also didnt meant to imply that sin was the punishment, a mistake on my part. But again, I'm not saying make all babies perfect or without sin, just give them a fighting chance to make the decision for themselves -- a decision you and I both enjoy. As we've agreed, corruption is the punishment for sin, but Down Syndrome babies havent sinned yet! This corruption is the result of ADAM's sin, which Jesus was supposed to have redeemed!

  • @DiscoveringReligion

God has the power to give everyone a level playing field so they can make a conscious decision to either follow or reject the Lord. I'm in medical school and I've studied hundreds of congenital defects that arise in babies before they are even born. These poor children develop debilitating defects or other fatal immunological deficiencies that leave them extremely susceptible to disease and early, painful deaths. Why would an all-powerful, all-knowing God allow this?

  • @DiscoveringReligion

It is painfully obvious God cannot be omniscient AND omnipotent. If God is omniscient then he would know all of his future actions, which means He would be tied to his own fate, unable to change his destiny, because everything would be predestined. Therefore, if God cannot change his own fate then he is not omnipotent, for he lacks the power to control his own destiny. These are the logical inconsistencies that arise when claims aren't based on evidence but mere speculation.

  • @DiscoveringReligion Good argument, have no answer for that now.

  • @DiscoveringReligion "It is painfully obvious God cannot be omniscient AND omnipotent. If God is omniscient then he would know all of his future actions, which means He would be tied to his own fate, unable to change his destiny, because everything would be predestined. Therefore, if God cannot change his own fate then he is not omnipotent, for he lacks the power to control his own destiny." I too discovered this dilemma in 2009 on my philosophy studies. From this one could say "Destiny > God"

  • @DiscoveringReligion In the end, what on Earth would it matter to them, themselves as babies, sure the pain and disease would be excuriating for them but it is only transcient, afterwards assuming God in His mercy had put them in Heaven then He basically ended their suffering and got them into a place of no more pain, anguish, or tears, your argument can be toppled with another; "if God was all-powerful and all-knowing why would He let those babies live and grow in perputual misery?"

  • @MrEmadshalabi It does seem like that to them, think about, the only real theological argument you or any other unbeliever can pull out of premature death is the threat of Hell considering they had not become Christian but are in their sins, I do not have answer to that claim yet to be truthful, but in my heart I know God does what is best and righteous which explains why my faith is unphased. If that argument was rationalized by a believer then there are no more problems with God's actions.

  • @MrEmadshalabi If they are saved on account of their birth innocence or natural imcomprehension of God's Word then atheists would view God's allowance of such deaths as an ultimately merciful action rather then injustice; I mean, think about, it's a dark world, think about how much sin would make them suffer and hurt, especially with those defects set in, wouldn't death, and a celestial haven without corruption, or even oblivion if you are correct, be more just than that?

  • @MrEmadshalabi If they got to Heaven they accomplish the greatest spiritual ambition of the Christian and the theist in general. I will research more about late babies who haven't a chance to hear the Word Of God should that question arrise. But you do make good theological arguments, your throughout knowledge of the Bible hints you were a former christian. Later.

  • @lildertygangsta Yes, Jesus is real. I'm him. And I'm telling you, our godly father gave us brains to think for ourselves. I choose to rebel and preach peace, unlike my father which only wanted to kill anyone that didn't abide by his ever changing double standards over what morally acceptable or not.

  • @lildertygangsta Already have. :)

  • If I were that reporter, I would have belted that asshole.

  • "In which he argues that nazi-ism was actually a gay movement."

    ...

    I...

    I just...

How, what, how do you even come up with that shit? What the Hell? How delusional can you get? This whole episode has been so, so hard for me to watch. How can people as deluded as that have such a great influence on so many people. It's depressing.

  • religion is a shield that the irrational hide behind...don't like women, blacks, gays or anybody with a different belief then your own, then take away their rights and say god made me do it...see its here in the bible!...two paragraphs down from love thy neighbor...

  • Holy crap.

    Literally.

  • OMG They do not play that gay stuff in Ghandi LOL. Those African's are crazy "WE DON'T WANT IT!" They are not open to reason at all, I can just tell. LMAO, "If you know someone is gay and don't turn them in you may be arrested" LMFAO, it's like children are making the laws over there. It's hilarious but sad at the same time.

  • agreed, UniversalCipher. I believe Rachel Maddow was the first one to report on this. truly pathetic how ignorance spreads like a virus.

  • That pastor Lively needs some serious psychiatric help! He said that there are better Christians in Uganda than there are here in the U.S. So he approves of Christian extremism. I am an atheists and this is one of many reasons why I agree with the sentiment that religion poisons everything.

  • what the piece of shit preacher meant to say america has this damn scientific method and NOT taking a verse from some ancient-desert myth made from unscientific ppl, who doesn't value human rights literally from snake-oil salesmen who want to control over our lives.

  • That section on homosexuality made me sick to my stomach... How these people can treat others like that and still think that they are doing what is "right" and "just" is beyond me. It's sickening.

  • @UniversalCipher - As Gould had said: A good person will do a good deed and a bad person will do a bad deed. However, to get a good person to perform a wicked act, that takes religion...

  • "These are good Christians- they're BETTER Christians, they CARE about each other..." Which is why they want to kill each other based on a few lines found in an ancient text of extremely questionable origin? Until there is actual proof of God and proof that every word in the Bible is God's word "good people" who "care about each other" would base their laws on logic, fairness, and reason.

  • @1955RodHot - And even if god was proven to exist and god's word came straight from the bible, it does not mean humanity can not question this word. Can not assert that this god's word is morally wrong. This is what is corrupt about religious people; They feel inadequate to question anything said to be greater than themselves.

  • @aquatix This is one of the things that bothers me. Frankly even if god came down and started performing miracles in front of me, though I would have to acknowledge his existence, I would refuse to follow his word.
