hey everyone i am a 12 year old child with a pellet gun (gamo varmint hunter) something like 1200 fps with gamo pellets... i am into hunting but only with airguns on small game. my parents dont share my "beliefs" they wont let me go hunting. help plz!
Im not big on hunting but i hate all these guys hating this because the call it "cruel". But its not the fact that they're so annoying about it. It's that they act like hunting is bad but they will probably go eat a stake later today. With hunting the animals can defend them selves. Using cows for meat is just slaughter. And i know this for a fact because my family has a farm and they hunt. So if you hate hunting so much why are you watching this video.
Some of the best days I've spent hunting resulted in little or nothing to show for it....except the memories and a rejuvinated spirit from being able to spend a day outdoors. A squirrel or bunny in the bag is just icing on the cake.

I can remember when I was a boy and my family lived in Fairbanks Alaska, in a community called Fox 10 miles out of Fairbanks on Steece Highway that was the closest town, we live on a 59 acres that my father bought. No lights, water, nothing only a oil heater, battery powered radio, my father worked on the north slope oil line as an equipment operator and was gone for 3 months at a time.I would go out hunting with my pellet gun and the cylinder would freeze up.Normally 50 below zero.

Because of the grey squirrels, all our native red squirrels (UK) are dying out. As much as I like almost all animals, I see no problem killing grey squirrels for food.

Although we don't have the space, gun laws or range of quarry that many other countries have, there seems to be enough to hunt here. Using guns for home defence here is very rare. Hunting with a full bore (bigger than .22cal) rifle would mostly be on private estates (e.g. culling deer), stalking stag in Scotland or for use at gun clubs. Most other hunting is done with small bore rifles or shotguns. Air weapons need no licence if you're over 18.
Thanks for the info. Use of firearms for home defense is rare in America too but im thankful we have them and for hunting as well. I even own a bow, but I can barely kill a bale of straw, much less a deer with it. :) I may showcase these weapons from time to time. But, the channel will always stay centered on air rifles.

hello edgun i have a small question, i have a nasty squirrel problem (they have chewed the wood on my padio to the point that i need to replace some of the wood boards) i have $600 to spend but i don't know which gun to get (i am looking into pcp's) what would you recomend for a good rifle and scope combo?
@MrPudude If noise isn't an issue, get yourself a Benjamin Discovery + handpump. Inexpensive - accurate - and plenty of squirrel-thumping power. Of course, there are better PCP's, but they would be overkill for your needs. As for the scope, I'd put a Leapers 3-9x or 4-12x ($90-130) on top.

GREAT video. I'm a beginner squirrel hunter and enjoy it very much. I also live in Wisconsin and find it hard looking for a good spot to hunt squirrels.

i have the gamo big cat 1250 .177 with crosman premier hollow points, im assuming i should be going for a headshot, or will a upper chest (heart/lungs) do the trick as well?

@EdgunUSA Maybe a stupid question, but still... isn't there any risk of catching an infection that those animals can be carrying inside them? How safe is it to eat them?
I have trouble adjusting my scope, so that I could hit a bull eye from 25 yards. But my ammo shoots around the bull eye. Is something wrong? Maybe with pellets? It's a Benjamin .22 nitro. I wish I could make the scope exactly accurate, so that I can get head shots. Any advice?

I dropped my benjamin trail in a CREEK and i finally got it out and it still fired but it had sand in it so i took it apart and got the sand out and it still works ok. I must say i do not recomend the benjamin trail to a person who is serious about air rifles. The groupings in this gun are not good at allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a L96 air soft gun that shoots about 460-480 fps and im using .28g BBS. do u think that is powerful enough to take out a gopher? (prairie dog) if u could tell me soon that would be nice. in the summer ponoka alberta is over populated with these little buggers!
@Deathfinder100 shoot at a closer range and shoot at the right spot, it will be a kill, not an instant kill but a kill. so aim near the eye, or throat.

hello edgun i have a small question, i have a nasty squirrel problem (they have chewed the wood on my padio to the point that i need to replace some of the wood boards) i have $600 to spend but i don't know which gun to get (i am looking into pcp's) what would you recomend for a good rifle and scope combo?

@MrPudude If noise isn't an issue, get yourself a Benjamin Discovery + handpump. Inexpensive - accurate - and plenty of squirrel-thumping power. Of course, there are better PCP's, but they would be overkill for your needs. As for the scope, I'd put a Leapers 3-9x or 4-12x ($90-130) on top.

I've been watching your videos. You are an EXCELLENT shot. Congratulations on your accuracy!! I once took a deer with a dead on heart/lung shot from 600 yards with my 30-06. That was many years ago when my vision was outstanding, and these days I know that I could not match your accuracy with a PCP air rifle.... even with my new glasses!! I have trouble adjusting my scope, so that I could hit a bull eye from 25 yards. But my ammo shoots around the bull eye. Is something wrong? Maybe with pellets? It's a Benjamin .22 nitro. I wish I could make the scope exactly accurate, so that I can get head shots. Any advice?

I dropped my benjamin trail in a CREEK and i finally got it out and it still fired but it had sand in it so i took it apart and got the sand out and it still works ok. I must say i do not recomend the benjamin trail to a person who is serious about air rifles. The groupings in this gun are not good at allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a L96 air soft gun that shoots about 460-480 fps and im using .28g BBS. do u think that is powerful enough to take out a gopher? (prairie dog) if u could tell me soon that would be nice. in the summer ponoka alberta is over populated with these little buggers!
