I am Ricky's biggest fan, followed him since he first played for Tasmania as a youngster. I think Sachin is more consistent, and may go down in history as the better of the two, but Punter is Australia's best since Bradman, and being not quite as good as Tendulkar is no shameful thing at all.

Sachin is special because of his grace while bein so effective but honestly its impossible to choose between the two! Well I don't know about Bradman since I have never seen him play but yea I would say Ponting is probably the best I have seen play - excellent fielder and batsman.
Good footwork, Good player of the short ball and sweet timing. Not to mention I will never forget the WC final 2003, the day an Indian plays a knock in a must win match of that magnitude let me know.
P.S. I am an Indian, it is just that I like Ponting and I know Sachin is awesome too but hey it is my opinion.

I mean weve seen batsman like Ganguly do this many a times over the years to faster bowlers. ut just cozthis is ponting and u wont expect this from him, it cant be labelled shot of the century!
