  • I'm a man and my tears are flowing. You are the best!

  • this is amazing. I walked down the aisle to this song. Now my husband is deployed in Afghanistan. I loved hearing women who have been in my position sing this song so beautifully. Thank you!

  • moved me to tears,,,,just stunning!!!

  • having relatives in the forces i can see this choir has brought together a lot of wives. to shair there time toget while the men are away ,

  • Celebrate ordinary women doing something extraordinary for goodness' sake!

  • Them 13 people have no respect for the people fighting for our country.

  • Am signing off, flapjack.

    X

  • I'm ashamed of the nasty comments left here. Obviously, they have not lost anyone. Should we sit and let people come in our homes and kill our family and do nothing about it? Open your eyes to a much bigger picture. Our military men are protecting us. Do you know that they ask for little toys and candies to pass out to children over there? If you really care about the children and families over in Iraq, send stuff to help make peace instead of running your mouth about something you know no

  • God. Please keep my husband/wife safe while he murders innocent women and children around the world in the name of peace. Please protect him but ignore the families that are praying for their husband's safety, since the media told me they are the bad guys. Please protect my husband who blindly works as a government mercenary thinking he is actually doing good, he doesn't understand that all life is precious and should be cherished. Thank you.

  • @Deztructor13x wrong army, Women aren't allowed out on the front lines in the British army so they don't go around killing innocent people. Also the British army protects villages from the Taliban and have more local protection for innocent civilians so get your facts straight.

  • @WonderfullyWierd1 Congratulations, you replied with a technicality. I hope it allows you to sleep soundly at night while our murdering governments drop depleted uranium on innocent civilians in the name of peace. They do all this murdering in our names, and the blood of those innocent men, women, and children are on all our hands for letting them get away with it. The universe will eventually correct this injustice and we will pay for our crimes.

  • @Deztructor13x do fuck off. have some respect you ignorant piece of shit.

  • @killerwaz88 take on the Germans are you kidding pick up a history book you idiot bring it on sunshine

  • This song is shit. This does not equate to me 'hating' on soldiers. It's just a fucking wank song.

  • Also why you do not complain about the other side who is delibratley killing children and not by mistake or cross fire? I do not think any decent person in the militery or civil will kill children unless sick in their minds ! Have you ever been in a war zone and dealt with nasty taliban, al-qaede or other nasty wate of space people? Have you seen how these nasties deal with any one ? Although wars are nasty but some times it has to happen to stop nasties!

  • One must remember that the Military does not make wars , the stupid , idioitic politicians do, the military personnel are there to defend the country if need be , if you have problems with wars go and poke your fingers in the idiots who send the troops 3000-5000-10000 miles away to defend the UK!! what a joke! the troops are doing just fine and it is so beautiful and lovely that their wivevs support them and love them so much to produce such a choire. I think it is just jolesy, envey, green eye!

  • @anna111132

As Bill Hicks once said, "Anyone dumb enough to want to be in the military should be allowed to join."

  • @bollockowithalob Who defends us in times of war? Who defends our freedoms? Not you! Get back under your stone.

  • @theuk7yahoo

As Bill Hicks once put it, 'Freedom is free'.

  • @bollockowithalob And when it is taken away? Can't you think for yourself?

  • @theuk7yahoo

The history of foreign interventions ISN'T an altogether happy one.

Afghanistan is about as strategically significant as Mars AND as 'winnable' as Vietnam.

    Best wishes

  • @bollockowithalob why are you bringing foreign wars into it?

  • by adele... shes a much better singer than bob dylan and it was a much bigger hit for her

  • made my cry x

  • I bet half of them have UK desk jobs.

  • Ladies you are brilliant & rightly deserves your own album, well done!

  • I know Wherever You Are will get all the publicity but Iove this.

  • This is actually a reply to the post of DrDerpwerth (below) but on thinking better I shall simply ignore you and what you wrote. In fact a worm deserves more of my attention than you do.

  • The most interesting thing about the BBC programme was that it brought out the isolation of the military existence. The wives seem to operate as the " wife of " someone in the military rather than as people in their own right. Their roles and position defined by the military rank of their husbands.People in Barnstable new little about the camp and did not know anyone in the camp. His diving force was the women "lacked a voice". The married quarters were isolsted and claustrophobic. Not good.

  • @venereum That'll be "out of sight out of mind" at play. We all do it all the time: what about the police, nurses, etc all living in isolated pockets too?

  • @Greenockianx MMM....you make a fair point but I am a nurse and my brother is a police officer. Nurses homes and police officer accomodation in stations have been greatly reduced. It never stopped me going out and about though. If Barnsatble was only 5 minutes away why did they go drinking in the Sgt's mess? Why no just go to the pub?

  • Fair play to you ladies! It's beautiful to hear you & a great show of courage to sing such poignant songs. It is incredibly difficult to be apart form Loved one for such long periods of time, particularly in such tempestous places. I hope everyone will return safe. Happy Christmas.

Unfortunately as long as humans have emotions and desire for power, there will be wars. TO the slightly blinkered misguided, please look at ALL the facts before you post such slanderous comments.

  • After the goose bumps and sentimental tears have passed would the partners of those brainwashed killing machines that are slaughtering and maiming CHILDREN in other countries please ask them to stop. NOW. War is not honourable and sentimental it is the most heinous crime a human being can commit. And yes, they are killing the children, not dangerous terrorists as we are told. Wake up people, please. You can bomb the world to pieces, but you can't bomb the world to peace.

  • Songs never make me cry!!! :') but I can feel

    It

  • I would have to say that is one of the most incredible acts of love I have every witnessed!!

I certainly can related to what they are feeling; I myself have been through similiar. And having served myself, so I really understand and relate to both those who are so far away from their families, as well as those who are waiting for love ones to return home to us unharmed. May God bless you all for this increbile project and for touching all the lives you have!

  • BORING

  • @ssushy2011 if it's so boring why don't you get off your ass and go and do what their partners are doing fighting for their country?!

  • @aimeed94 its not my fault to fight for the county.its a disgrace. It their fault.never fight 4 first place nothing would have happend.IDC but I dont wnat to fight

  • MILF's

  • So, "If I have one criticism, it is that Malone over-egged the significance of what he was doing. It was a wonderful project but we didn't need to be reminded of it every five minutes."

So who are you to make any critism at all? Could you have done what Malone did. No - didn't think so.

  • Beautifully sung - and to see the young mum with her little baby in the front row really tugs at my heart strings. I hope this will go onto an album which I sincerely wish you would make next.

  • In CD days, this would have been perfect for the B side in fact maybe considered the A side. Great number and since it was their first public appearance, would love to hear them sing this again. Well done all of you, yet again. Alan
