If you don't like the way the video is styled I recommend you find some other videos. I highly recommend the ones by someone if i recall correctly called goshawkherron. Those are more modern with images and voice over rather.

my question is .. what if ex. white sections off a piece of the board, and then black sections off a piece that envelops the white stones? do the white stones, that had already sectioned off a piece, become prisoners?

Great question! It depends on situation. White can make itself uncapturable if it surround two separate territory points. By having two points, black would not be able to put a stone in white's area because black would have no liberties but white would have one. If white doesn't do that black would be able to capture it. This is called life and death. Its a bit hard to explain with only words... maybe try searching google for "interactive way to go" and "Go game life and death".

Try checking out "Video Tutorial for the Game of Go - Part 2, Playing (WeiQi, Baduk)" by GoshawkHeron and "Go (Baduk, Weiqi) Opening Tips For Beginners" by BadukChannelAmerica. They have pretty good videos also check out video by clossius. Other than that you should talk and play with those stronger than you and see how they play.

Actually Atari did vanish from the world, at least for a few years. The original Atari company (the one that made the Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, etc.) ended up merging with another company callled JTS, which subsequently liquidated the remainder of Atari's product line. Then they sold all of Atari's intellectual property to Hasbro, who subsequently sold the property to Infrogames, whom made it into a subsidiary company. In 2009, Infrogames renamed themselves Atari SA.
