@harwoodpodcast I will let you know, kind of burned out on choc chip cookies and wanted something buttery with nuts. This looks to be perfect. I like the thickness of the cookie without it being puffed up in the middle and cakey, that is not my type of cookie. Thanks so much for the recipe and of course I subscribed.
Made these tonight and wow oh wow the raw cookie dough is outragiously good. The cookies are wonderful too, I'm not typically a person that likes nuts in cookies but pecans are great and shortbread is fantastic, the combination works really well. The cinnamon/sugar is so good on these, I sprinkled on top of each cookie before baking. The sandy texture really works with this cookie. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Those sound good too....I just started liking cranberries this past year and combo flavors are always more interesting.
