I think that the only Sienna model that Toyota put real effort into was the first gen. Everything thereafter was just snap on materials and nothing was soft to the touch inside. Just a though.

@CrashJSTest Yes and that was also part of the ecu reflash toyota did too every vehicle while in for the gas pedal recall that was repaired with some flimsy little shims. p.s. the shims were a sham to change the ecu program giving the brake pedal priority over the gas pedal input. When you have a drive by wire car that decides that you dont need to shift to neutral or park while your foot is on the gas you have the makings of a death trap.

@roadflytv I agree with you Charlie, it was all a political game. Ford had the same issue and recalled 500,000 vehicles for the the same gas pedal issue at the exact same time. No one heard about that..... as well Ford just recalled one million F-150's because they couldn't be bothered to engineer a proper bracket to hold a fuel tank and someone almost burned to death. I wonder if the U.S. government is going to launch a whole congressional committee on it........

@meattube4u33 Unfortunately they probably panic during a driving situation. My grandmother has accidentally hit the gas pedal when she meant to hit the brakes. When they have been watching non stop coverage on the news about run away Toyota cars it doesn't help. After the media coverage reports of unintended acceleration went up 1000's of percent. Coincidence?  NASA had spent 8 months tearing apart hundreds of Toyota's and found no defects with the gas pedal.

@Babel368 #1 why not hit the brakes? the chp officer and his 3 passengers who died in his run away lexus while on the cell phone with 911 ( watch the video here on youtube ) did in fact ride the smoking hot heat fading totally useless brakes to thier deaths, however the engine was at wide open throttle and the brakes burned out. #2 They did not know you had to hold the start/stop button down for 3-5 seconds, #3 the shifter is just an electronic switch and the computer would not allow a shift

Toyota wont allow you to shift out of gear at wide open throttle and or back into gear as it could hurt thier transmission and cost them money. THE CAR WAS A DEATH TRAP WATCH THE VIDEO!!!!!!!!!

You're wrong about the third row seats! You just pull the handle back, and push down! The electric seats take WAY too long, and if you can't put those seats down without getting into the back...hit the gym! My 110lb wife can do it with one finger!

@Mik5OO She said it was the only one to currently offer AWD not the first to do so. I think most minivans have dropped AWD as an option because most people looking for that have moved over into 7 passenger SUV's. Toyota chose to keep it as an option.

The Odyssey gets 19/28 on touring models with the 6 spd auto and 18/27 on all the other models with the 5 spd auto... Obviously, toyota didn't give a crap about improving the gas mileage from the previous generation. The odyssey even beats the 4 cylinder sienna's gas mileage.
