    Alan from Mexico

  • Man that sounded so sweet... I have been trying so hard to learn my latin bass grove... um is there a certain scale you use for this?? I really want to get some basic latin down...any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • @Redeemed0918 Hi, I'm glad you like it! The song is in C maj. The chord progression is Dm7-G9-Cmaj7-Fmaj7. At some point I play a run based on the Fmaj7 arpeggio going back to Dm7. Latin is mostly about feeling the "clave" pattern!

  • I'll be the first to say it, that was fantastic. I just starting trying to learn latin bass grooves, any tips?

  • @FerniFF Thanks. All parts of the tracks (keyboard, percussions, bass), follow the 3:2 "Clave"; the syncopated pattern of "tek tek tek----tek tek" in the background. Plus play long notes.
