the media is the message---this is exactly why I hate this reality garbage on TV today--especially the "Bachelor"--it sends a message to young girls that unless a man is 6"2' square jawed and make a large amount of money-you aren't worth getting to know!! this is exactly why the divorce rate is what it is

Mcluhans ideas inspired me to get rid of my TV set. Now a few weeks later without a TV in the living room I feel liberated.

This is one THE BEST lectures by Mcluhan anywhere. I've read his books, read interviews, and listened to him speak for hours. The concepts he casually explains in this program is deceiving, they ring true but understanding them takes time. at least for me. i love it.
