Unfortunate that my crapbuntu want be able to run Infinity, if it even comes out for Linux. I know X2 has a Linux edition and I can run it according to the SysReqs. Would you recommend the game?
x2? tbh I can't play it now because I am used to how the x3 ships move, x2 ships don't tend to 'slide'. The only advantages over the newer game x3 is the localized nebulae, customized logos, but gameplay and functionality I would go with x3. x2 was good in the day.

Anyone else think the X series is going to look really dated once Infinity comes out?

also another advantage is that there is not many bugs in x2 if any and it has a better FPS!

I believe there is a mod out there that allows the use of x2 cockpits. Check the egosoft site.
