I used to love Ce Ce Peniston (I still do) but I very much dislike this release.  I was very disappointed by this release and its namesake album. She has just lost it with this one and it went downhill from there. TOday she only plays in gay clubs and other love parade gigs. What a shame for such a ground breaking voice and RnB talent. But BROWNSTONE (Jacko's proteges) did not fare much better in the late 90ies as they split up. I loved the 90ies for the breathrough of Hip Hop and RnB.

The thing is, ORIGINALDEFTOM, when this album was released, that hip-house hybrid had reached its peak and its time had passed. What to do? You have to keep up with the times to remain viable to a record company, and CeCe did that with this album. More R&B, less house. I think it was very well done! But most people didn't want to accept this updated sound from CeCe. So the album didn't do so well. That's the way it goes in this business, though, unfortunately.

I can definately understand why it flopped though cuz she and her producers weren't consistent with tracks like this one on her album. A lot of the songs on that album did not mesh well. Maybe 2or 3 other tracks were worth keeping but the rest was garbage.
