The Rubidoux, California police department's incompetence is staggering. They found a large amount of blood on the floor --- an obvious horrendous crime had been committed --- why didn't they search the ranch with a fine-toothed comb? Had they done so, they would have discovered Michelle's body at that time. Instead, it was the ranch owner who discovered her FIVE days later. This is pathetic and shoddy police work.

the question also to be asked is why did the ex wife and the daughter of the murderer not report anything to the police as it appears she got information while they were together and then they split up then years later she reveals the information that leads to solving Jessies mystery also why didn't the mother of jessie and the DA go ahead and convict the 2 of Jessie's murder as well 2 death sentences on both of them would be harder to shake

It may be a lead they pursued to a dead end and then it lay there until revisited later. More troubling to me is the fact that the horse ranch owner heard a gun shot, saw a mystery girl on her property and called 911, only to find the second victim's body five whole days later. If correctly related here, the case sounds poorly investigated.
@Bfdidc i agree with you, i dont understand why the police didnt search the ranch, especially when they found blood, crazy things in the guys car and the lady who told them she heard gun shots, i'm not a detective but i assume is their job to investigate the crime scene find evidence and search for the body.it is insane that they just took pictures and left...
