Since I BC'ed my Hairstylist said I was not able to do finger waves because it is not permed and the curl pattern will curl up when it gets wet. So no you can not get finger waves.

you can actually do finger waves on dry hair. They're called dry finger waves (obviously) and its done with a straight iron with beveled edges and alternating curl patterns.

Someone with thicker hair would have a harder time doing finger waves, however if you use a good gel which is what i prefer it will work great.

haha! I feel all of u that feel u can't get it. I get the motion and KIND OF get a slight wave in there, but they never look that great. Thank god they're not done on ppl on a regular basis... Shorter hair w/ a lof of a really goopy gel seems to work pretty well and if u have a mannquin u practice on, it seems to work better when it's not washed.
