Enerdel only did this as a proof of concept, but they have decided not to produce this Lithoum traction battery at this tim, and go thru all the certification costs - instead they are pointing their investment at their recent acquisition of the Citi car product line.

battery life, 40% to 80% for longest life, if battery replacement was common, people wouldn't buy priuses.

Because the NiMH cells can't handle deeper charges as well as the LTO cells without significantly decreasing lifespan?
