  • FOR THE RECORD PEG ENTWISTLE WAS IMMENSELY TALENTED SHE JUST CAME ALONG AT THE WORST POSSIBLE PERIOD IN MOTION PICTURE HISTORY THE GREAT DEPRESSION.

  • how can I go about watching this movie? It looks quite interesting.

  • where is the real peg buried?

  • Peg's ashes are with her father at the Ross family plot in Ohio.

  • what make the narrator think she was untalented she was trying to make it in and impossible industry at an very difficult time

  • Thank-you for the interest and positive comments. We are putting together DVDs now and marketing the film. So I will keep you posted!

  • This points to be a pretty good film... and Peg's story is so fascinatingly sad... I must see this movie!!!!

  • Looks very cool indeed. I also made a short film about Peg and I believe we exchanged some messages about it awhile back. This looks very good and I'd love to see it. I'm in L.A. actually literally living about a block from Peg's old cottage and in the shadow of the HWD Sign. Cheers!

  • If and when this film does come out, you can count on me to see it -- brilliant idea.

  • Hi,

No the film has not been released yet. We are currently promoting the film via the festival circuit as we made the film independently.

I will let you know about it's next screening.

If you read back through the comments you will see how we have addressed questions about the film's narrative. The story is told through the eyes of a friend who is fascinated by Peg so includes elements of her life as well.

  • has this film been released yet??????? I live in england and am obbsessed with this story xxxxxxx

  • Sorry JESSICA (my error in the previous email, I called you Emma instead) but really to be nominated in the WASA's for Best Production Design, Best Cinematgraphy and Best Visual Effects to spectacular. Well done again!

    Frances.

  • Well done Emma and all the cast and crew,

I saw the whole film at the Luna and thoroughly enjoyed it. The film is beautifully shot. Congratulations on three nominations for the WA Screen Awards.

    -Hard

  • This looks interesting. Has it been completed? Will there be a screening in the Perth area at some stage? How long is the completed film?

  • Yes there is a 'one night only' screening at Luna Leederville on Thurs Nov 8th. Please email me if you would like more details.

  • I must apologize to everyone involved in this project. I was quite negative and had no right to be so. A friend of mine likes to remind me that "Contempt, prior to investigation, is a spiritual malady." This a fine work of art and very well put together. I have viwed it many times now and am smitten by the outstanding camera work. My best wishes to all involved.

  • Peg Entwistle is in the film, but rather as an enigmatic character. The main focus is on Liz who stays at the Hollywood Studio Club and sort of comes to terms with a dark hollywood underbelly. It is inspired by events in Peg's life but by no means a biopic. It is great to know there are film buffs out there who respect her, as Peg and her story are larger than life. I am enamoured!

  • Great dialogue and visuals! Can't wait to finally see it...

  • I applaud your enthusiasm but the voice over is not belonging to 'Peg Entwistle' but a fictional character called Liz who has arrived in town and is yet to meet her.x

  • As we say in the States, "My Bad." I apologize to no end. I stand before you, hat in hand, head bowed, red-faced and feeling stupid. I didn't hear the name 'Liz' and several of the shots of an actress look remarkably like Peg, particularly the one where she's in white, with her arm outstrecthed, looking over her shoulder at the camera. (that pose happens to be my favorite shot of Peg(done at White Studios, if I remember).

I do have to say the production is nicely done...all the best to you.

  • Um, excuse me, but Peg Entwistle did not come to Hollywood UNTALENTED! Peg graduated the Theater Guild and was a Broadway actor co-starring with Dorothy Gish in "Getting Married." She also performed with good reviews--with Billie Burke and Humphrey Bogart. Peg Entwistle was a fine actress. What if I made a film about Steve Erwin ..."I came to this Outback young, handsome, and couldn't tell the diff between a crocodile and a lady's handbag."
